34 Pigging of the gas export pipeline is primarily required for operational pigging for cleaning and corrosion inhibition.

1 2.1 The Pig Launcher shall be designed in accordance with DnV OS-F101, ASME B31.8 and ASME VIII Div.1 (Latest Editions) and2 Project Specification J26081A-M-SP-13001.

3 2.2 All standard nozzle flanges ASME B16.5. Nozzle N1 weld neck flange shall be ASME B16.5 compatible and have specified internal diameter

4 of pipeline. Flange bolt holes to straddle natural centrelines. All nozzle attachments to be set-in, full penetration welded.

6 2.3 Supplier is to select wall thickness of major and minor barrels to withstand design pressure plus all additional loads, environmental loadings

7 and fatigue.

9 2.4 Design of pig launcher shall guarantee long term pressure integrity of the closure and relevant sealing systems.

11 2.5 Pig launcher shall be supported on two saddle / pipe supports (one sliding, one fixed). The sliding baseplate shall have slotted

12 holes to enable free movement of the sliding end.

14 2.8 One non-intrusive type signaller (local and remote indication) - HOLD is required for mounting on the pig launcher. Signaller c/w junction box (JB)

15 - HOLD shall be Supplied by Others. Supplier shall ensure adequate space provision for mounting of signaller and bracket for JB on equipment.

17 2.9 Pig launcher length shall be based on the overall length of intelligent pig + 10%. Supplier shall confirm overall, major

18 and minor barrel lengths.

20 2.10 End closure and end closure materials shall be designed in accordance with design code with the functional safety requirement of ASME

21 VIII Div.1, section UG-35(b) and shall include a vent plug/PWS. End closure shall be capable of being included as part of an interlock system;
