    ALARM messages VLT 5000 SW 3.1DISPLAY shows Possible reason(s): Try to:Warning 1Under 10 volts(10 VOLT LOW)

    The 10 volt supply fromterminal 50 is below 10 volt.The power supply isoverloadedMax 17 mA/min. 590 Ohm

    Disconnect terminal 50 Ifproblem continue, changecontrol card.If problem continue, thepower supply on the powerboard is defective.

    Warning/Alarm2Live zero fault(LIVE ERROR ZERO)

    Warning/Alarm 3No motor(NO MOTOR)

    The motor check function schosen in Parameter 122,and the VLT 5000 cannotdetect a motor.

    Check the motor cable. Is anywires broken. Is the repairswitch open, check if you canclose it SAFETYCheck the motor vindings

    Warning/Alarm 4Phase fault(MAINS PHASE LOSS)

    One input phase to the VLT

    5000 is missing.There is unsymmetri betweenthe input phases

    Disconnect all power supplyto the VLT 5000. Rememberthe separate 24 Volt supplyterminal 35 & 36. When thedisplay is black, check allsupply wires to the VLT .

    Check the symetry on the 3Ph power supply for the VLT

    The voltage differencebetwen the phases must notexceed 2%.

    Warning 5Voltage warning high(DC LINK VOLTAGEHIGH)

    The intermidiate circuitvoltage (DC) is higher thanthe limit given by the controlsfor the drive.With brake3X220 Volt units: 384 Volt

    3X400 Volt units: 801 VoltWithout brake3X220 Volt units: 405 Volt3X400 Volt units 840 VoltThe VLT is still active

    Warning/Alarm 9Inverter overload(INVERTER TIME)

    The termal inveter protectionreports overload in theinverter.The warning comes, whenthe electronic counter(counting current and time)has reached 98% of max,and the alarm comes, whenthe counter has reached100%This warning/alarm can becaused by: Wrong motor data Defect motor VLT overloaded To long motor cables To high switching

    frequency

    This alarm can only e reset,when the counter is balow90%

    After reset, and restart youcan correct the data givenabout the motor, Parameter102, 103, 104, 105, 106.You can reduce the switchingfrequency i Parameter 411.If the motor cables is longerthan specified in the DesignGuide, you can probalbysolve the problem by using aLC filter.You can monitor the thermalload of the inverter in thedisplay during operation .

    Warning/Alarm 10Motor overtemperature(MOTOR TIME)

    The VLT trips when themotor has been running toolong time with too high

    Check, that the motor is nottoo warm.Check the thermistor, and itsconnections

    Check the parameters 308 &311 for correct setting.

    Warning/Alarm 12Warning/Alarm 12Overcurrent

    The torque is higher than thelimit in Parameter 221 & 222.Please note, there can be atime delay before trip, set in

    parameter 409.Too short Ramp timesThe Parameter 308, 311 or314 can be set for torquelimit

    Check the settigs ofParameter 221 &222.Check the motor data.Check the parameters for

    ramps (207, 208, 209 and210)Check the parameters 308,311 and 314, and therelevant control signals.

    Warning/Alarm 13Torque limit(TORQUE LIMIT)

    The inverter peak current(app. 200% of nominal) hasbeen exceeded. There will bea very short warning period(app. 1 sec.) , and then atrip.This time can be reducedin Parameter 119. The timecan not be extended.
