I have enjoyed my two terms as a District Councillor and I have gained valuable experience and knowledge that will enable me to be an effective

Mayor.

• Provide leadership to Council • Represent the Districts interests to

higher levels of government• Listen and respond to your concerns

in an open and fair manner.• Encourage locally owned and

operated small business.• Promote local food production and

protect farmland [ALR] from development.

• Maintain the rural character of Central Saanich as per our OCP.

• Improve communication and cooperative relationships with First Nations, and neighbouring communities.

• Advocate for improved public transit, walking and cycling infrastructure.

• Enhance environmental stewardship.• Manage the District's finances, staff,

infrastructure and operations carefully to reduce the need for future tax increases.

In summary, - I will work together with all members of Council and

District Staff to ensure that Central Saanich remains a safe, healthy place
