Class is in Session! Thanks for a great start to the 2011-12 school year. Your support has been
greatly appreciated. Student growth is our overall goal. We strive to make the time that our
students spend at AHS productive. We are four weeks into the semester and progress reports
went out on Sept 15th. If you are unaware of your child's academic progress, please contact his/
her teachers. Updated phone numbers and addresses are vital in maintaining communication and
if an emergency arises. We also need current custody information on file. Contact the school
whenever you have a change of address or phone number.
Attendance is important. Students with 9 or more absences in a class will fail the class for the
semester. A list of lawful absences can be found on student handbook folders and on our website.
Not all notes from home will be excused.
Have a great month!

businesses throughout Albemarle, as well as the
Homecoming game on Friday, October 21. The
winners will be revealed Saturday, October 22. All
proceeds will benefit Crossroads, AHS’s yearbook
program. A list of businesses displaying pumpkins will
be posted on the web page beginning October 1st.
