Adrenocortical: Regarding or made by the adrenal gland, which produces steroid hormones.
Anabolic Steroids: Steroids that promote tissue growth by creating protein in an attempt to enhance muscle growth. Testosterone (the male sex hormone) is the main steroid.
Androgen is any natural or synthetic compound, usually a steroid hormone, that stimulates or controls the development and maintenance of masculine characteristics. This includes the activity of the male sex organs and development of male secondary sex characteristics. Androgens are also the original anabolic steroids. The primary, and most well-known, androgen is testosterone.

Symptoms: ◦ Mood swings, fatigue, restlessness, loss of
appetite, insomnia, reduced sex drive, and the desire to take more steroids. The most dangerous of the withdrawal symptoms is depression, because it sometimes leads to suicide attempts. Untreated, some depressive symptoms associated with anabolic steroid withdrawal have been known to persist for a year or more after the abuser stops taking the drugs.
Tapering may not completely prevent withdrawal symptoms
