ALEPPO: It is confirmed as of yesterday, at 4:00 p.m., the Syrian Army’s paratrooper units dropped byhelicopters assaulted the positions of ISIS between Atharyaa and Khanaassir and killed 69 terrorist rats as theRussian Air Force and the SAAF continued dense cover for the soldiers and their allies in the PDC. All routesout of the area were under control of SAA artillery meaning that many more than 69 have been killed. Certainly,the number of ISIS wounded is in the hundreds as they try to make their way either to the Turkish border or tothe east toward AlRaqqa. Going to the east will be a formidable undertaking as more and more SAA forcesassemble along the way to relieve the pressure on the Air Force Academy. Paratroopers defines a category of troops, not a helicopter dismounting technique.Surprised SAA did not do this more often...

One hopes that RuAF does not make a similar mistake that Soviet Air Force did inAfghanistan, while operating "9 5" operations. One of the key weaknesses of Sovietmilitary doctrine was being "overlystructured" where things become monotonous andrepetitive, allowing the enemy to quickly learn and adapt. Terrorists have exhibited thisstrategy very well in this conflict as they have been much better at adapting to enemytactics. HOpefully RuAF remains dynamic in its approach.

It appears that west is trying a new tactic with Russia; they are flattering Putin, positivesounding and encouraging articles are written by influential people, and there is aplethora of "visits" to Moscow. Is this a new tactic of leading Russia on, while cookingup something nasty?!
