Karl Busch Middle School Honor Band Director A versatile woodwind player, Karl Busch has per-formed across the United States, Argentina, and Eu-rope. As a clarinetist he plays with the Reno Cham-ber Orchestra, Reno Philharmonic, and Nevada Opera, among others. An avid saxophonist and woodwind "doubler," he has worked as a house mu-sician aboard cruise ships for Norwegian, Celebrity, and Cunard Lines. He holds a Master of Music de-gree in Clarinet Performance from the University of

Wisconsin – Madi-son. Karl maintains a busy schedule teaching clarinet, saxophone, and flute at Absolute Music in Reno.

Larry Engstrom High School Honor Band Director Dr. Engstrom received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from California State University at Fresno, and Master of Music and Doctor of Mu-sical Arts degrees in Trumpet Performance at the University of North Texas, where he was jazz solo-ist with their renowned One O'Clock Jazz Band. He currently performs with the Collective, is a member of the Great Basin Brass Quintet, and he performs regularly with many other Nothern Neva-da music ensembles. From 1988 - 2001 he was Principal Trum-pet with the Re-no Philharmonic Orchestra. And boy, he can play some ping pong :-)
