SUMMARY i)
This report is a Geophysical Survey, as required by The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines for assessment work pur poses.
The report includes an introduction to the property, field observations and conclusions based on the field survey.
Technical data and assessment data forms can be found in the back of this report. Field data .is compiled on the accompanying plan maps found in the back of this report.
GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY' REPORT
ON
THE HOLLOWAY THIRTY CLAIM BLOCK
HOLLOWAY TOWNSHIP
LARDER LAKE MINING DIVISION
DISTRICT OF COCHRANE, ONTARIO
INTRODUCTION
The Claim group consists of thirty-one unpatented mining claims located in the south-east area of Holloway Township. Access to the property is via a south-east timber road off the 101 highway to the pump house station of American Barrick. The claim group is approximately four miles south east by skidoo. (See figure la) and Ib).
Ownership of the claims has been attested to by Alexander H. Perron, 103 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, Ontario P2N IA9, and was not independently ascertained by the writer.
The linecutting was performed by Gwen Resources Ltd. The magnetometer survey was performed by Mr. T. Carrier. The electro magnetic survey was carried out by Miss Wendy K. Weller. All con touring and report writing was done by Miss W. K. Weller.
The surveys were performed on a new north grid at 200 foot line spacing and stations established every 100 feet along grid lines. For further information on the grid and the surveys assessment and technical data forms can be seen at the back of this report.
GENERAL GEOLOGY
According to the O.G.S. report 72, Geology of the north half of Holloway Township by J. Satterly, the bedrock formations in Holloway Township are all Precambrian in age. Parts of the town ship are largely covered by unconsolidated sediments of Plesitocene age ranging from clays to boulders. The underlying bedrock is pre dominantly volcanic rocks with lesser amounts of sedimentary rocks which have been intruded by ultra mafic and felsic lava flows. Lying between these lava flows are interflow siliceous horizons, se dimentary bands of greywacke arkose and iron formation. (See Figure le)
TOPOGRAPHY
The overall terrain in this survey ranged from a steep outcrop hill to low lying areas, with beaver ponds and creek system.

PROPERTY HISTORY
This is the first survey that has been performed on this claim group.
INSTRUMENTATION
a) McPhar GPSl^Proton Magnetometer
This system uses a backward motion of spinning protons of a hydrogen atom within fluid of hydrogen and carbon. These spinning magnetic protons are caused to have two opposite poles by applying a magnetic field using a current within a coil of wire. When the current is stop ped, the protons precess about the earth's magnetic field and in turn generate a small current in the wire. The fre quency is proportional to the earth's total magnetic field.
The instrument used for this survey was a McPhar GP-81 Proton Magnetometer. More information about the sur vey and instrument can be found on the Technical Data form found in the back of this report.
b) Geonics EM-16
The VLF-EM method uses as a source, one of the main submarine communication transmitters in the 15 to 25 kHz band found throughout the world.
VLF instruments are capable of picking up these structures that change the direction of the waves by using the tilt angle of the major axis of the polarization ellipse. The direction of tilt indicates the direction of the con ductor.
The VLF easily illustrates the location of the upper limit of dipping structures which can be seen or plotted as VLF profiles as areas of greatest change in tilt angle per unit of distance.
The instrument used in this survey was a GeonicsEM-16.
The one station used was Cutler, Maine, 24.0 kHz. More information about the survey and instrument can be found on the Technical Data Form found in the back of this report.

RRETSENTATION AND DISCUSSION" OF RESULTS
i) Magnetic Survey:
The field data is presented on Map No. Mg 1/97 at a horizontal scale of one inch to four hundred feet, found in the back of this report.
The magnetic data is illustrated as isomagnetic contours (contour interval 100 gammas) on a map of cor rected magnetic values recorded at each station.
The magnetic relief is high ranging from 57411 gammas to 60212 gammas.
The magnetic trend is in a east-north-east di rection. The magnetic structure in the center east half of the group, is a large outcrop showing. The magnetic features indicating exposed outcrop and overburden. The outcrop has a very large cliff face and oriented gouges which may indicate extensive fault and joint systems. The rest of the magnetic response occurs over three south sloping hills to flat areas of bogg and beaver pond system in claim No. L-1088582.
ii) Electromagnetic Survey:
The field data is presented on a Map No. VLF/1/97, at a scale of one inch to four hundred feet, found in the back of this report.
In this survey, four distinctive anomalies were found:
CI - Crosses PL18E 6N to PL26E 7N. The area is a low lying tagalder, spruce bogg. Negative quadrature.
C2 - Crosses PLO 31N to PL8E 32N. The conductor is on the south side of a gentle sloping hill and crosses the creek between the two beaver ponds in claim L-1088582. Positive quadrature.
C3 - Crosses PL18E 13N to PL26E 1450N. This condutor is probably the outline of the outcrop showing. Negative Quadrature.
C4 - Crosses PLO 525N to PL18E 9N. This conductor crosseslow lying (tagalder, spruce, jackpine) to a gentle slope (jackpine poplar, birch, red pine). Quadrature is ne gative.
-4-
OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS
Parallel magnetic highs associated with magnetic lows are very important, other discovered features are magnetic lines that are broken up or intruded upon by north-striking formations.
These north-south formations may indicate an interference such as a fault system.
This is the first survey carried out on this ground, in the spring a detail geological survey is planned over the entire group, to help verify the origins of the vlf conductors. The grid will be extended across the entire group this summer.
