Wake Up Alexandria

December Hosts

Wake Up Alexandria is a networking event held the first and third Friday of each month from 7:30 to 8:30 am at a Chamber member location. A dollar gets you in the door, with all proceeds donated to a non-profit Chamber member.

Alexandria Technical & Community College creates opportu-nity for individuals and businesses through education, inno-vation and leadership. It strives to be “the premier institution of career preparation and comprehensive lifelong learning.”

Business BuzzJillian Reiner of Hagstrom Engineering was named one of the 40 under 40 top business professionals in the northern plains by Prairie Business magazine. Jillian is the main point of con-tact for potential clients and coordinates all plan production as the manager of the landscape architecture department.

The Alexandria Senior Center was named the winner of the local 2019 Touchstone Energy Community Award by Runestone Elec-tric Association’s Operation Round Up Trust Board. The center received $500 and its application will be submitted for consid-eration of the statewide Minnesota Touchstone Energy Commu-nity Award to be presented in March. The winning organization will receive $1,000 to go toward its community cause.

Mike Savageau, Physical Therapist at Advantage Rehab, Inc., is now offering dry needling. This method of treatment, performed by a licensed physical therapist, works to reduce pain and mus-cle tension while simultaneously improving mobility.

AmbassadorsThe Ambassadors are volunteers who extend the public relations arm of the Chamber. They attend business open houses, groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings; welcome new businesses to the area; and commemorate relocations and major remodels. They are out making business visits the second Wednesday of every month.
