Nipper, 48, is a member of the LEGO management board and has worked for the Danish toy company for 23 years. www.grundfos.com Alfa Laval to acquire Norway’s Frank Mohn KSB secures 30mn order from Saudi Arabia Alfa Laval has entered into an agreement to acquire Frank Mohn AS, a Norwegian manufacturer of Framo submerged pumping systems for the marine and offshore markets, in a deal valued at NOK13 billion. Bergen-headquartered Frank Mohn had sales of NOK3.4 billion and an order intake of NOK6.1 billion in 2013, with around 1200 employees. “Frank Mohn is an excellent company that we have been following closely for several years. It has highly skilled employees, high quality products and a market-leading position within segments offering attractive long-term growth prospects,” said Lars Renström, president and CEO of Alfa Laval. “Consolidation and globalisation takes place in all industries. We have shown competitiveness through innovation, quality and a long-term view on customer rela- tions. The oil-fired YANBU 3 power station includes a seawater desalination plant. From 2017, the power station will generate more than 2700 MW of electricity. Located on the Red Sea coast, the power plant will supply electricity to cities like Jeddah, Mecca and Medina. The associated seawater desalina- tion plant, which will use the power station’s electricity and accumulated steam, will provide 550 000 cubic metres of drinking water per day. KSB will manufacture the boiler feed pumps at its factory in Frankenthal. www.ksb.com CRI Pumps buys Italy’s FIPS India’s CRI Pumps Pvt Ltd has acquired Italian pump manufacturer Fabbrica Italiana Pompe Sommergibili Srl (FIPS). Founded in 1978, Milan-based FIPS specialises in waste and sewage water pumps. CRI Pumps vice chairman G Soundararajan said: “With the acquisition of FIPS Italy, CRI will be launching the complete range of sewage and wastewater pump solutions in India using the tech- nology transfer advantage from FIPS Italy. Hayward Tyler has announced a
