Acknowledgement Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece; if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you prayed a sincere prayer or came to pay a call. Perhaps you sang a cheerful song; if so, we heard it all. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say. Perhaps you prepared a tasty dish, or maybe furnished a car. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts, by word or deed or touch, whatever was the kindly part, we thank you, oh so very much. We just want to say thank you. His Journey’s Just BegunDon’t think of him as gone away, his journey’s just begun

Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears

in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years.Think how he must be wishing that we could know today

how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched...

for nothing loved is ever lost, and he was loved so much.

Life’s ReflectionsAlfred Williams, Jr., was born March 11, 1945, in Mexia, Texas, to the late Alfred James Williams and Clara Bell Williams. He attended Dunbar High School in Mexia, and continued his education by attending college at Prairie View A&M.

In 1965, Alfred married Joyce Johnson, and to this union, Darryll Williams was born. In 1986, Alfred married the late Annette Stuart, and to this union, another son was born, Alfred Williams III.

Alfred Jr., was well-liked by many and was also a prominent businessman in Dallas. He owned and operated Penny’s Department Store, Penny’s Beauty Supply, A & A Inspection and A & A Laundry and Dry Cleaners.

Alfred Jr., was lovingly known as “Papa Alfred” by his grandkids, whom he loved dearly. One of his favorite pastimes was watching football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters, three brothers, and a half-sister and brother, and one stepson.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his two sons, Darryll (Lisa) and Alfred Williams III; his sister, Margie Dancer; his step-daughters, Canopolis Thomas and Angela Thomas; grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
