THIS PROJECT AIMS TO CREATE AN OUTDOOR LEARNING SPACE. THE INTERVENTION IS TO BE PLACED AT THE CARPENTER CEN-

THE TWO PAINTINGS, “ST LUKE DRAWING THE VIRGIN” BY RO-
GIER VAN DER WEYDEN AND “THE DAUGHTERS OF EDWARD
DARLEY BOIT” BY JOHN SINGER SARGENT, ARE TO BE DIS-
PLAYED IN A MUSEUM. THE MUSEUM UTILIZES VERTICAL CIR-
CULATION THROUGH A GRAND STAIRCASE. THE PROJECT POR-
TRAYS THE LAYERING VISIBLE IN BOTH PAINTINGS THROUGH
THE USE OF NATURAL LIGHT FROM APERTURES AND SKYLIGHTS.
