Welcome. Historically known as the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad‛s San Juan Extension, the railroad was built in 1880. Today it is known as the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad (C&TSRR). It is the most outstanding and best-known example of its kind in North America.

To earn your Junior Engineer Certifi cate, you must complete the questions from your starting Depot to Osier (half of the booklet). Answers to the questions can be found in the book “Ticket to Toltec” or from your docent (usually found in the Open Air Gondola). When you are fi nished, fi nd your docent who will check your answers and sign your certifi cate as a Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad Junior Engineer.
