  • China, the Land of Extremes China is the land of extremes.China is land with the oldest civilization on the Earth.There is more than 1 billion people living in China.

  • Chinas Climate A large part of Eastern China has a climate that has a humid subtropical climate, which is cool in winter, hot in summer, and has plenty of rain.

  • Chinas vegetationChinas land was good-qualified for planting vegetables and other stuff.The lands were fertile, good to grow vegetables.It also rained a lot, so it gave the perfect setting for plants.

  • China, with humid-tropical climate China has a humid-tropical climate. And for example, Hong Kong, Its sooo hot in summers. And I didnt really like it. I had to be stuck in the hotel room because it was impossible to go out.

  • Natural ResourcesScientists believe that 74 billion barrels of oil is under Takla Makan desert.Many raw materials for manufacturing goods are in China.

  • Natural Resources(2)China makes hydroelectricity by the power of the running water.China also does aquaculture, or sea farming.

  • Natural Resources(3)The Chinese has been mining for 2,000 years.

  • Monsoon

    Monsoons sometimes occurs in China.Monsoons are winds that blow across the China plain at the certain time of the year.The winds are quite strong, so it sometimes makes the trees get up-rooted.The Monsoons also effect the climate of East Asia.

  • Huang HeHuang He is a river that is also known as Yellow River. Its also known as Chinas sorrow because it sometimes floods.It picks up some loess and puts them to the east of the North China Plain.

  • The Plateau The Plateaus, or a high- raised level land are in China.(Plateaus takes up much of the landscapes of East Asia)

  • The Deserts and the mountainsThe deserts and the mountains take up over 2 thirds of china. A desert is a region of extreme temperature and a little rain.

  • Part#2=China Transporting It Self

  • China Today China today has a major economic power.Products from China is sold all over the world.China also has a good relation with other many nations.Beijing in China was also selected as the Olympic- place.What process did China go through to reach the goal of this, major economic powered continent?Well, you will learn that during this section, -China Transporting It self.

  • The Communists The Communists ruled over China in the year of 1949.When the Communists took power over China, China never had peace almost for a century.Most Chinese were extremely poor.

  • China, under the government of Mao Zedong.Mao Zedong was a leader who made radical changes over China.There were many polices that actually drove the Chinese.. Nuts. And Here are the polices.

  • The Great Leap ForwardThe Great Leap Forward is a policy that made people work on large communes- to increase the production.But the Great Lap Forward ended up to be an Great Step, or Great Leap Backward.Many people who werent really good at working was making products that never worked for people.

  • The Cultural RevolutionThe Cultural Revolution is a also a policy that is made by Mao Zedong.The purpose of the policy was to make a complete, new society.He encouraged students to form a rebellion over their teacher and their parents, and families. The result of the Cultural Revolution was ended up as a disaster. Thousands of citizens had died.

  • The Red GuardThe students who got encouraged by Mao Zedong and formed a rebellion over teachers and parents made a band called Red GuardThey demolished some beautiful, ancient buildings owned by China.They beat up many Chinese artists, doctors, and professors.

    The Red Guard got out of control and began to Threat MAOS government.They ended up being imprisoned by Mao Zedong.

  • Deng XiaopingMao died in 1976.Around 1890s, Deng Xiaoping took control of China.Deng Xiaoping allowed some free enterprise. Farmers could sell the crops with pure profit, and private china factories started making electronic stuff, clothes, even toys, and many other stuff.

  • PS_And going through Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, there WERE many extreme or radical changes.But now, China, again, is a major economic power. The Olympic will be held in the year of 2008, (which is this year) in Beijing, China.

  • Part#3=Historic Traditions

  • Introduction_In China, there are many China-ish traditions. In this section, I will explain you Chinas traditions.

  • Transportation.Chinese people ride this bike-like transportation, with kind of like a cart attached to it.

  • The other tradition is.TEAThere is another tradition that is came from China, and its very common. I bet that you at least drank TEA once. The tea is a tradition from China. And especially Beijing likes tea. There are even old- traditional- tea- shops through out Chinas city.

  • THE GLORY THAT WAS CHINA

    China didnt really have many to do with the rest of the world. They built the Great Wall of China and they called the rest of the worlds people like Orankaes. They thought that China was the only world in the Earth.

  • People And Culture.

  • The Ethnic Group of China

    There were these groups called ethnic groups. There were many, and each of them had there own-kind of culture and historical tradition. (The most of the groups were filled with the Hans.)

  • Finally.I think thats about it! Well, it might have been boring. If it was, I apologize my rudeness. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  • Authors note.There are many things that we should learn from China. I will just tell you one. Even though many people didnt really like Mao, but we should learn Maos minds. I bet that he was trying to make a better land. I think that he tried to make a complete new society, but he failed. Thats all.
