why are monkeys called monkeys?

• This bright ,lively monkey is also called the hooden capuchin because it has a blackcap of stiff hairs on its head. Its long furry tail is prhensile which means it can be used like a fifth hand. The capuchin uses its tail as a safty rope when it travels through in the tree tops.
