Polar Bears About Polar Bears

Polar Bears are Mammals.

Polar Bears live along shores and on sea ice in the icy cold arctic land.

Baby polar bears sleep in dens and snow banks.

Polar Bears have black skin under their glistening coat and white shaggy-haired fur which help them soak up sun and keep them warm.

Polar Bears have 4 legs and shoulders. They also have very sharp claws, sharp teeth, and a tail.

Polar Bears are very good runners.

Polar Bears can stand up on their 2 feet.

Polar Bears can hunt near icy breathing holes to catch seals.

Polar Bears have an incredible sense of smell which they use to track their favourite snack, grub and seals.

Polar Bears are warm-blooded.

Polar Bears like the cold temperatures.

Polar Bears can swim and dive deep under cold icy water. They are excellent swimmers. They use their large front paws to paddle in the icy water.

When the season changes, it is hard for the polar bears to find seals because all the ice has melted. Polar Bears travel to the mountains where the water is flowing down the hill. They try to catch fish with their mouth.

Do Polar Bears Hibernate? During winter, many Polar Bears stay warm by making a den or snowbanks for sleeping. Polar Bears do not hibernate like other bears do. They continue to hunt during the winter.

What do Polar Bears Eat?

Polar Bears are carnivores. They like to eat seals, fish, eggs, birds, reindeer, and berries.

Also, meat and plants is their main diet.

Where do Polar Bears live?

Polar Bears live in North America. Also, Polar Bears can be found in the Ice Cap, Tundra, Greenland, Arctic and Mountain areas. They can also can be found in these country Canada, Russia and Alaska.
