What’s new and changing for FY 2018Pick your plans nowWe’ve made just a few changes to some of the core benefits you enroll in or update during annual enrollment.

No medical cost increases

Thanks to your participation in Intuit’s wellness programs, which help to keep you and your family healthy, we’re pleased to announce that your medical premiums and copays are not increasing for FY 2018.

New medical ID cards

Cigna and UnitedHealthcare members will receive new ID cards before the start of FY 2018. Your card will include contact info for Accolade, so you can connect with a health assistant who can answer many questions related to your medical plan. You’ll receive no other ID cards unless you’re enrolling in a plan for the first time.

Special needs therapy

In addition to applied behavior analysis (ABA) benefits, music therapy and equine therapy sessions will be covered under both the Cigna and UnitedHealthcare plans when deemed medically necessary.

Increase to Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) maximum

You can contribute up to $2,600 per plan year (an increase from $2,500) to your Health Care FSA. Remember: If you’re enrolled in the Cigna Choice Fund HSA plan, the FSA is limited to vision and dental expenses.

What to review during annual enrollmentTake time to explore these important benefits—and take the necessary actions—by June 23:

Medical

Action: Review your medical coverage options to make sure you’re enrolled in the best plan for you and your family.

Depending on where you live, you have several choices for medical coverage:

» Cigna Choice Fund with Health Savings Account (HSA) offers in-network and out-of-network coverage. It’s the only medical option paired with a tax-advantaged HSA to help you save for current or future health care expenses. It’s also the only plan that covers out-of-network services and IVF treatments.

» UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Network Plan, Cigna Managed Network Plan and Kaiser (California only) have predictable out-of-pocket costs, and there’s no deductible for you to pay before the plan pays for services or prescriptions. These plans cover in-network care only and may have higher paycheck deductions.

Dental

Action: Review your dental coverage options to make sure you’re enrolled in the best plan for you and your family.

You have two options for dental coverage:

» The Aetna PPO Dental Plan gives you the freedom to choose any dentist. However, if you choose to go to a dentist who is not in the network, you pay more for services.

» The Aetna DMO Dental Plan requires you to pick a primary care dentist (PCD) in the Aetna DMO network for regular exams and for referrals to get specialty care. In exchange, it costs less than the PPO Plan. Because this plan has a smaller network of providers, it may not be for everyone. You should check to see if your preferred providers are included.

Vision

Action: Make sure you’re enrolled in the Vision Service Plan (VSP).

The VSP has the most extensive network of optometrists and vision care specialists in the country. When you choose a VSP provider, you pay only a $10 copay for your annual exam. The plan provides $180 for frames and covers lenses at 100 percent, or $300 toward contact lenses, every 12 months.

Health Care FSA

Action: Re-enroll in the Health Care FSA.

The Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) saves you money because you can pay for eligible health care expenses with tax-free dollars. You decide how much to contribute to your FSA—from $26 to $2,600 per year. Your contribution is deducted from your paycheck before federal, state, local and Social Security taxes are withheld. Keep in mind that you must use your account balance before the end of the fiscal year or it will be forfeited.

IRS rules do not allow you to have both a Health Savings Account and a Health Care FSA. If you’re enrolled in the Cigna Choice Plan with HSA account, you can only have the Limited Purpose FSA to use for your dental and vision expenses.

Dependent Care FSA

Action: Re-enroll in your Dependent Care FSA—Intuit matches up to $650!

The Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) lets you set aside your money before taxes to pay for child care. In addition, you get free money from Intuit with a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $650 per fiscal year. This money can be used to pay for summer day camp and day care expenses for dependents until their 13th birthday. Eligible expenses are listed on the enrollment website. Your contributions—from $52 to $5,000 per year, including Intuit’s match—do not roll over from year to year, so carefully consider how much you contribute.

Legal insurance

Action: If you haven’t already, enroll in legal insurance.

With ARAG UltimateAdvisor® legal insurance, you can access a nationwide network of attorneys who can advise and represent you or call a network attorney for unlimited legal advice on preparing wills and trusts, handling traffic tickets and rental disputes and more.

Identity theft protection is an important security measure in this day and age, and it’s included as part of ARAG legal insurance. This service tracks your credit activity or online identity, notifies you immediately of suspicious activity and provides insurance coverage in restoring your identity—all for about the cost of two espresso drinks per month!

Life and accident insurance

Actions:

» Assess if your current coverage provides you with a comfortable safety net.

» Make sure that your beneficiaries are up to date. You must name a beneficiary for your basic life insurance and optional life insurance. You are the beneficiary of the life insurance that you purchase for your spouse or domestic partner.

Intuit provides you with basic life and AD&D insurance in the amount of two times your base salary. You can enroll in optional life insurance up to seven times your base salary ($2 million maximum). If you choose coverage above five times your base salary or more than one coverage level, you must complete an evidence of insurability form. You may also purchase:

» Child life insurance of $25,000

» Spouse or domestic partner life insurance of up to $250,000

» Family AD&D insurance for all family members, up to 50 percent of your total coverage amount
