“O Mary, you always shine on our path

as a sign of salvation and of hope.We entrust ourselves to you,

Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain,

keeping your faith firm. You, know our need,

and we are sure you will provideso that, as in Cana of Galilee,

we may return to joy and to feastingafter this time of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love,to conform to the will of the Fatherand to do as we are told by Jesus,

who has taken upon himselfour sufferings and carried our sorrows

to lead us, through the cross,to the joy of the resurrection.

Amen.” Pope Francis

Cycle of PrayerDuring Eastertide we are asked to prayfor these intentions: New Members of

the Church; Vocations; The Right Use ofthe Media; Human Work.

New approach to ConfessionsDuring this emergency period Confes-sions can take place without a priest andthe Vatican issued new guidelines onforgiveness of sins.

Many will say; “But Fr. I can’t leave thehouse and I want to make my peace withthe Lord. How can I do that unless I find apriest?” Do what the Catechism says. It’svery clear, Pope Francis said. Speak toGod. He’s your Father. Tell him the truth:‘Lord, I did this and this, pardon me.’ Askhis forgiveness with all your heart with anact of contrition, and promise him, after-ward I will go to confession.’ You will returnto God’s grace immediately.

Spiritual Communionis the desire to receive Holy Communionwhen we are unable to receive.

“My Jesus, I believe that you are trulypresent in the Most Holy Sacrament. I loveyou above all things, and I desire toreceive you into my soul. Since I cannot atthis moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.I embrace you as being already there andunite myself wholly to you. Never permitme to be separated from you. Amen.”
