This is to notify that in terms of Chapter 4, Article 16 of the Constitution of the All India Central xcie Inspectors Asseciation. West Bengal. Sikkim & Andaman Nicobar Circle, a federating unit of the All India Central Excise

nspectors Association, and as resolved in the Circle (ommittee meeting held on February2021, the election of 23 members for the Circle Committee shall be held on 04.03.2021 in North Bengal, South Bengal & Kolkata Zones on the same

day. Three Circle Committee Members of North Bengal, Three Circle Committee Members of South Bengal & Seventeen Circle Committee Members of Kolkata Zone will be clected by the general members of respective zones only (Jurisdiction given below).

he/she may inform his/her Astt. Returning Officer that he/she will not be in his/herplace of posting and he/she may be allowed to caste his/her vote in another booth of

the same zone by giving a simple declaration to the Asstt. Returning Officer/Presiding Officer of both where he/she desires to caste hisher vote and he/she has not caste his/her vote in his/her original place of posting. Returming Officer and Asstt. Returning should ensure that no members can caste his/her vote in two places. RETURNIGN OFFICER

In terms of Article 16(b)(2) of the Association Constitution, the Central Committee

hereby appoints Sri Saurav Biswas, Superintendent of CGST & CX, Barabazar Division,

Kolkata North Commissionerate, Room No226 GST BHAWAN, Kolkata-700107 as the

Returning officer for conducting election.

The election shall be held through secret ballot amongst those members otherwise

eligible to vote and who have filed nominations. The returning officer shall notify (i) name of the Assistant Returning officer(s), (i)

Polling booths with names of corresponding Presiding Officers at least 07 days before the

date of election. Any dispute regarding the election process shall be brought to the knowledge of the

Returning Officer and complaint/grievance related to the election shall be lodged with him

and decisions taken by the Returning Officer on such matters shall be final. Election shall be held and counting shall be done in presence of Returning/Assistant

Returning Officers or any other person having prior delegation of power by the Returningofficer and shall have to be completed within the stipulated time given above.

After completion of counting, the Returning officer shall declare the results, and he

shall issue certificate to the elected Central Committee members. The function of Returning Officer commences with the issuance of this notice and

shall be restricted upto the completion of counting of ballot papers and issuance of

certificates to the elected Central Committee members. The Returning officer shall be competent to adopt suitable measures and issue

instructions/ notifications for smooth conducting of the Election as per terms and conditions in

this notice and in conformity with the provisions of the Association constitution.
