GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS FOR THE NEWLY ADDED VACANT POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR THROUGH ADDENDUM

1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is an autonomous body established under an Act of Parliament.

2. Service under the AIIMS is governed by that Act and the Rules & Regulations framed there under.

3. All posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees of similar status at Delhi/New Delhi.

4. PAY SCALES

Assistant Professor

Level 12 - Rs. 101500-167400/- (plus NPA for those medical posts for which a recognized medical qualification has been prescribed as an essential qualification).

5. Upper Age Limit: (i) 50 (Fifty) years.

(ii) Upper age limit shall be determined as on last date of submission of applications.

(iii) No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.

(iv) Age relaxation permissible to various categories is as under:

6. Applicants who do not possess the essential qualification up-to-the last date of online submission of application(s) will not be considered.

8. The requisite experience in respect of aforesaid vacant faculty posts is relaxable at the discretion of Competent Authority by one year for the candidates belonging to SC & ST categories.

9. Period of probation for all faculty posts is two years.

10. The post(s) is/are whole time and private practice of any kind is prohibited.

11. The employees of the AIIMS will be governed by the New Pension Scheme as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB&PR dated 22.12.2003.

12. Application Fee- Rs. 500/- for UR & OBC candidates and, Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates. No application fee is applicable for PWBD candidates. Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

13. Separate application(s) should be submitted for separate post(s) along-with the prescribed application fee for each post(s).

14. Candidates applying under any of the reserved category posts, viz. SC/ST/OBC/PWBD will be considered subject to submission of Caste/Disability Certificate issued by the appropriate/competent authority on the prescribed format. Community should be clearly and legibly mentioned in the certificate. OBC candidate’s eligibility will be based on the caste(s) borne in the Central List of Government of India. OBC candidate(s) should not belong to Creamy Layer and their sub-caste should match with the entries in Central List of OBC, failing which their candidature will not be considered under any of the applied category post(s). The candidature of PWBD applicant is subject to evaluation by the Medical Board duly constituted by the Director, AIIMS, New Delhi.

15. Only such persons would be eligible for reservation under PWBD quota in service/posts as per provision of Disability Act. Persons who want to avail of benefit of reservation would have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.

16. For 21 posts as mentioned in Addendum, Link will open on 06.09.2018The aspiring candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect should submit their application through ON-LINE mode only and must read the instructions, help manual and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein while making online submission of the applications. Online registration and submission of application will be available on AIIMS website www.aiimsexams.org for newly added posts through addendum till 05.10.2018 at 5.00 P.M. 17. The candidate(s) who submit(s) their online application must submit self-attested copies of their certificates including caste certificate in prescribed Performa, degree, No Objection Certificate from the present employer (in case of candidates working Government/Semi or Quasi Government, Government enterprises or Government funded autonomous institutions) and other relevant testimonials along-with a printout of the application submitted online and the covering letter which will appear on screen after online submission of application immediately so as to reach to the following address on or before 20.10.2018 by 5.00 P.M. positively(only for newly added posts through addendum):

18. 20. While every effort will be made to provide residential accommodation to the faculty appointed at the AIIMS subject to availability but in view of the paucity of the residential accommodation in the campus, it may not be possible to provide accommodation in every case. In the event that no accommodation is provided, necessary House Rent Allowance (H.R.A) as admissible to the Central Government Servants of similar status stationed at Delhi/New Delhi will be provided as per rules.

04. Assistant Professor of Cardiology

08. Assistant Professor of Laboratory Medicine

FOR MEDICAL CANDIDATES


ii) A postgraduate qualification, i.e. M.D. in Laboratory Medicine or Microbiology or Pathology or Biochemistry or Hematology or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, the candidates possessing MD in Laboratory Medicine will be preferred.

iii) Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in the aforesaid specialties or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

FOR NON-MEDICAL CANDIDATES

i) A postgraduate qualification i.e. Master’s Degree in the discipline/allied subjects.

ii) A Doctorate Degree i.e. Ph.D in Biochemistry or Hematology or Pathology of a recognized University or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.
