What We Did in 2010….

• Mapped/GPS Known EWM Locations

• Obtained DNRE Permit - $400 (20 Acres)

• Procured 800 lbs NAVIGATE ($179/50lbs vs $249)

• Applied at 75lbs/acre vs. 24lbs by Contractor

• Applied NAVIGATE Starting when Water Temp Reached 61F

• Dealt with Channel Discoveries

• Fall Treatments Scheduled

Our Results So Far in 2010….

• “Successes” Despite High Spring Phosphorus and 1 of the Warmest Summers on Record

• 2 Weeks for Total Eradication, Outperformed Liquid Herbicide Treatments by Contractors

• Vallisinara, Chara, Pond Weed Moving In Where EWM was

• Raking Needed: “IF YOU LIVE ON A LAKE, YOU NEED TO HAVE A RAKE”. Our Big Challenge Going Forward – Fuel for Future Weeds

Our Future Plans….

• Use 2011 as Additional Year to “Know Thy Lake”

• Continue Work to Establish & Implement a SAD (Special Assessment District) for years ahead (Its Really About Maintaining Property Values)

• Work with ONTWA Township on 2010-2015 Master Land Use Plan (Lakes as Assets and Ordinances to Protect)

• Further Expand Quality Committee & CLMP
