Memorial Middle School Parents,

During this first week of December your student will be

taking the winter Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) tests. We administer the MAP test each year in September, December, and May. The MAP tests determine your

student’s instructional level and measures academic growth throughout the school year, and from year to year in the areas of reading, math, and

language usage. Following winter MAP testing, you will receive a report showing your student’s growth.

I would like to personally thank you for your support by participating in the annual Butter Braid Fundraiser. As a result of your support and

participation, Memorial Middle School raised $14,928 from Butter Braid sales. These dollars will be used to purchase student incentives and school projects, including purchasing technology for classrooms. I truly appreciate your time and your support of Memorial Middle School.

STUDENTS LEAVING EARLY:

If you know that your child will be leaving early for an

appointment or going out of town etc., we ask that you call ahead of time and preferably before the day starts, so we can get them a pass at the

beginning of the day. This cuts down on the amount of disruptions we have in the classroom during the day! We will get your student a pass, and they

will meet you in the office at the time requested.

We do ask that you come in and sign your student out!

Donations & Volunteers Needed! Memorial Maker Studio is an activity open to all in which students learn new skills and create things! We have the tools and supplies available for 3D printing, vinyl cutting, sewing, creating yarn projects like pom poms and crochet, weaving on a loom, beading, button making, working with Shrinky Dinks, Arduino, Sphero, Ozobots, photography, stop motion animation, Legos, k’nex and more!! We are always in need of donations including yarn, fabric, Perler Beads, Legos and k’nex, rainbow loom supplies, embroidery floss, and adult coloring books. We are also in need of Maker Studio parent volunteers! No experience necessary, just an interest in helping students with projects.
