- Callahan comes from a harness racing family and returned to his racing
roots after a reprieve from the sport while he pursued a professional career
after college. Callahan represented the USA in the World Driving Champion-
ship in 2011 and finished second. He learned the business from father Nick,
one of the top trainers in the region.
DAVIS, ALLAN

- George not only makes a racing career from driving, but as a trainer as well.
A winner of more than 4,100 lifetime races, he is a regular among the top 10
in the driver standings at Harrington and finished in the top five on the trainers
side as well in 2009. He shared in the 2013 driving title with three-time

popular personalities on the circuit. Kirby also is an active trainer, managing a
small stable of horses. Trotting mare Allmar Surprise is the star of his stable and
set the track record for mares at Harrington in 2009, while sharing trotter of the
meet honors by the DSOA for her banner Harrington campaign.

Delaware scene becoming only the second driver in history to win over 1,000
races in a year. He set new records at Harrington and Dover for both earnings,
wins and win percentages. On many of his days off in Delaware, Morgan travels

- A winner of more than 8,500 races lifetime, he is one of the quickest drivers in
history to reach the milestone. He has won more races at Harrington than any
other driver. Many of those wins have come driving for top trainers like George
Teague, Steve Leblanc, Les Givens, Wayne Givens and Joe Hunderptfund. He
has won multiple stakes, but is perhaps best remembered for his efforts on Gov-
ernor‘s Day in ‗99, when he won 5 of the card‘s 10 races. MORAND, JIM

year. Plante drives all horses out of his mother‘s barn (Phyllis Copeland), and
shares drives for many top barns such as Eric Ell and Steve LeBlanc.

- Crissman earned his first training title at Harrington in 2008 and was quick to repeat in
2009.. He trained 2006 Harrington Fall Horse of the Meet, Quick and Deadly.– He had a
career year in 2006 and topped it in 2007, while doing even better in ‘08. He has a solid rela-
tionship with driver Tony Morgan and together they formed a dominant. Crissman and his
wife Patti moved to Delaware from Ohio nearly a decade ago. They have finished in the top
five in the trainer standings the last four years on the Delaware circuit.

- Davis was the 2006 Horizon Award winner, given by the DSOA for a rising star in racing.
He had a breakout year in 2006 with top 2-year-old Artzina, who won both the Dan Patch and
Nova award as the top sport‘s top freshman colt. Davis has been extremely productive with
claimers and remains a top conditioner in the region. He has campaigned some higher condi-
tioned trotters as well over the last few years at Harrington.

primarily of claimers, but maintans a good balance. He and his brother Wayne have been
dominant over the past several years in the DSBF program for trotters. Givens has
previously won training titles at Ocean Downs.

- Davis is the husband of driver, Eddie Davis Jr. She maintains a large stable of horses and
had a solid 2009 campaign. Her horses were consistently competitive throughout the meet at
Harrington while maintaining a balanced stable of pacers and trotters. She had an emotional
retirement ceremony for her veteran pacer Snickers Hanover on October 27, 2010 at Harring-
ton. ‗Snickers‘, known as ‗Meatball‘ by his connections was a top horse in the region for a

- Green burst on the racing scene in Delaware in 2002 and earned his first training title in ‗03.
He has a record six training titles to his credit on Delaware‘s half-mile racetrack. He‘s had
success in claiming races, and with top older horses such as Royal Art, Sharky Osborne, Fake
Denario N, Giddy Up Lucky and Sportsfancy. Josh learned the business from his father Gary,
whom he attributes a lot of his success. He has more wins in track history than any other
trainer at Harrington.

- Joe learned the business from his father and successfully moved his New Jersey-
based operation to Delaware several years ago. He manages a balanced stable of

connection which can often be found in the winner‘s circle. He recently won his first
ever training title in 2013.

- The older Givens brother has trained horses for more than 40 years. He‘s had an
abundance of top horses the past several years including Winbak Speed, Brian P,
Yankee Vista, Gamblers Dream and Pacific Illusion. He‘s had ample success with
horses in the DSBF program, as well as with the seasoned older horses. He currently
ranks as Harrington‘s second leading trainer of all-time.

- Myers has been a staple among the top conditioners in the area for the past 30 years. He‘s
enjoyed significant accolades among young horses in the Delaware breeders‘ program, while
also winning races with top aged horses like Immortal Quest N and Fields of Honour A. The
latter was the 2007 Harrington horse of the meet, while Immortal Quest won the ‗08 Gover-
nor‘s Cup. His son ‗Boo,‘ was also a talented trainer who had an untimely passing in 2006.
