Can be taken in any grade after completing high school Biology. Prerequisite: High School Biology. Required supplies for this class: Advantage Set: Exploring Creation with Marine Biology 2nd edition (white cover required), Solutions and Tests packet, and Student Notebook Lab Materials: Dissection Kit and specimens (Available from Apologia.com) Microscope and Marine Biology Slides - Due to the cost of a microscope we do not insist on one for our Marine Biology classes, however, viewing God's creation on a microscopic level is central to gaining an understanding of His design and beauty. Seeing the microscopic world brings Biology alive to the students! PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT to obtain a microscope and the slides, whether borrowing or buying used or new. Ask around and let everyone within your reach know of your need. (Homeschool groups, neighbors, church newsletters, grandparents, family, friends, ….) I will be praying for each family to obtain them. If you register for my class and let me know you need one, I will pray for you by name. My students have seen God provide in so many creative ways, and the entire family will benefit! INSTRUCTOR Lucee changed majors in college in order to study God’s creation and earned a B.S. in Limnology from the University of Central Florida. Ever since, her passion has grown for studying the myriad aspects of freshwater marshes and lakes and marine environments. She and her husband Rick decided to homeschool their two daughters and have never looked back! Their oldest daughter enters the University of Florida with her AA this fall and their youngest is beginning high school. Along with homeschooling and teaching for the Academy, Lucee loves to mentor, serve her local homeschool group, co-organize a state-wide homeschool family mid-year conference of encouragement annually, read a plentiful array of self development books, and nurture a new-found enthusiasm in studying and teaching American Government. If you want to find Lucee, the beach is the best place to look, for being outside in His creation is where she finds her soul’s rest and joy. Lucee Price B.S. Limnology
