With the improving standard
of living, it is no surprise that
more people are placing a
greater emphasis on health.
Hence the explosion of healthcare and wellness centres. Invariably this leads to greater demand for skilled and qualifi ed professionals such as nurses and medical laboratory technology (MLT) personnel.
Allied health practitioners are health professionals who provide professional care in various healthcare settings to complement the work of physicians in the overall care of the patient.
All allied health professions require licensure following the completion of an accredited programme. It is, therefore, important that you choose an institution that provides you a solid and accredited qualifi cation whilst equipping you with the skills and attitude to excel in this socially orientated line of work.

YOU WILL BE PART OF A BIGGER PICTURE
V
Mastura Norden and Chua Sin Yee are from the Diploma in Nursing programme who scored distinctions in the external Nursing Board examinations.
I decided to be a Medical Laboratory Technologist after I found out that it is one of the top 20 professions in the USA. The decision to enrol in Nilai U is based on a few other factors. The fees are aff ordable which means it is not such a burden on my family. Secondly, the MLT programme received approval from the Malaysian Qualifi cations Agency (MQA). Thirdly, the diploma is recognised by various international universities which make it easier for those who want to further their studies.

Having gotten used to a more diffi cult level of test, we found the Nursing Board exams to be relatively easy. But that came with a lot of hard work. Our lecturers take great eff orts to ensure all of us properly understood the lessons and key concepts.
