NTENTS

Talents abound in Nigeria. You only need to meet the likes of Illrhymz and Ik to appreciate that Nigeria’s got talents. They are two on-air personalities who have brought style and panache to what they do as radio presenters. Our cover personalities have crossed boundaries and are now reality show presenters - a cross that has made them multi-millionaires.

How did they begin in broadcasting? This is what was on Pamela Echemunor’s mind when she sought out the hottest on-air and reality show presenters in Nigeria. See interview on pp. 7-9.

Fashion rules our world. Yet, it is the most fickle of all. This week, we are panting for bags and we say: it’s hot, hot! We are also loving yellow. On p. 6, we feature our love of yellow.

A Game ChangerStylish Bags:

Another favourite bag of mine is the all time clas-sic Chanel bag. I con-sider this bag timeless and and a good fashion investment. The value doesn’t depreciate es-pecially if you take good care to treat the leather right. A very stylish accessory for casual, formal and glam looks.

For more Afropolitan look and style, the An-kara printed tote bag from DFL is another great investment.

Unisex in style, it can work as a laptop bag, a stylish weekend tote or

a work bag; whichever your preference is.

Carrying a handbag isn’t just about picking any avail-able option where you can throw your phones, acces-sories or makeup. To the true style aficionado or fashionista, a handbag or purse is an extension of your style. It has the capac-ity of changing your style game.

By Rhoda Ebun

A great stylish handbag is a good investment and a total game changer. You don’t need to do so much with your clothes once you’re rocking styl-ish bags. Sometimes, it’s enough to let your bag do the talking.

On a style off day, a stylish bag or purse adds dimension to an outfit. It speaks personality. Personally, I appreciate unusual and quirky bags like the DOT box bags which are very stylish and are for the fun and fearless fashionistas.

YellowYellow is the colour associated with happiness, laughter, hope and good times. It is one of the colours most suited for summer. And this holiday season, yellow is no exception. Every now and again, a particular colour or style reaches prominence that is actually worth embracing. So, even if you are not overtly excited about yellow, the fact that it is the colour of sunshine, happiness and good times, presents the perfect excuse to adorn one. In any case, you don’t have to go full out in yellow to embrace the co-lour. All you need is one item at a time to add that extra flair. You can make it a belt, a pair of shoes or a nice bag.

Yellow is so versatile it can be worn casually and formally. When wearing a yellow dress, accessorize with the season’s neutrals.

When did you know you wanted to be a presenter?I randomly got into TV. I was selling mobile content at

the time. I used to work for a company called Mtech. I was in a meeting with Segun Giwa, producer of Nokia First Chance, and asked for the mobile rights of the contestants so that we can make ring tones of their songs and picture downloads etc. He was like: ‘Ill, why don’t you just host a show’. I laughed it off but as you can see the rest is history.

How long have you been a presenter?Wow! Since Nokia First Chance. I think I have been

at it for about 9 years; since 2006.

What challenges do you encounter while hosting shows?

REPORTAGE

/ August 17, 20148

The challenge of quality is pretty much. I have worked for quite a few TV stations (like) Nigizie, Sound City and I have hosted a few shows. It is the search for quality… It is like people seem to just jump into trends; everybody is doing TV now. Everybody wants to be a presenter, artiste etc. because, they see money. There’s no real professional. How many people are actually born for the job, like made for it?

There seems to be a lot of people now but not enough TV shows and not enough content for these people to go on. So, most times, the best people don’t even get the right jobs. I want to host a show that I would be proud of.

Do you have any projects you are working on at the moment?

We are working on a few shows. We have got a syndicated radio show called ‘080Naija Radio’ with Etisalat. It is on four stations around the country. What we are doing this season is giving upcoming Nigerian stars a chance for their music to be played across the country. I have realized that I meet a lot of less privileged people who want their songs to be played on radio. It is heart breaking when people in my industry are not operating at the right level of integrity.

I do not see why you should ask anybody to pay you to play their music on radio. It is your duty, it is your job. So, we are just taking another bold step and saying: ‘You know what guys, we are leaving it out there for you’. It’s not just one radio station, we broadcast on about four to five stations across the country. All you need to do is send us an email with your song and if it’s good, we will play it absolutely free. We don’t want anything in return. All we want to do is play good music.

What is your definition of good music?Good music is music that has lyrics, that has good rhythm, a good message. We’re missing the point. Yes, we all want to party but we also want music that you can connect with, that influences people’s lives because, to me, when you sing, you can create lifetime music.

Who is your role model?Jesus Christ! (Laughs) The closest person that I will

say inspires me and does exactly what I’m doing; which is so odd because I never planned this is Ryan Seacrest. He’s doing what I am doing but at another level like my dream. First, he is a producer with his own radio shows, TV shows etc. like I produce TV shows for Nigizie and Sound City and independent productions I can not mention here. I am producing ‘Indomitables’, the cartoon etc. He has it nailed and he’s a well respected personality.

What’s the inspiration behind your name?It was given to me. My family calls me Bardia and my

Yoruba name is Adebola. In high school, I used to rap; I was a ‘gee’ (laughs). I liked drumming on tables and beat boxing. We transcended from walkman to CD players to Ipods. People were always saying: Your rhymes are ‘ill’. So, I thought to myself, I need a pseudo name and I became ‘Illrhymz’. That was the name I took up when I started writing. That was my first job. I was a writer. I started the first online magazine in Nigeria called ‘Vibe Weekly’ long before Linda Ikeji and the others. We used to hit about 60,000 subscribers a week. Nowadays, we call them newsletters.

As an artiste, what inspires your lyrics? It’s my life. I rap about stuff I go through. So, (it’s)

everything, from love to just chilling; things that go on in my environment. I talk about them because music is an expression itself. I am going to use that medium to express how I feel. But, if you want to know what’s up in my head, my music is my detox.

Do you have pre-show rituals?Yeah. I like to exercise. I do push-ups or I stretch. I

do something to get my blood pumping. Every time,

Writer, producer, radio personality and hip hop/ RnB artiste, Bardia Adebola Olowu,

stage named Illrymz, is the TV show host for Nigerian Idols. Ill made his mark on the famed TV programme, Nokia First Chance. The former model knew that it takes more than looks to rise to the top, so he tasked his creativity and engineered various ideas which eventually paid off. Ill is a reputable producer/presenter who is ready to push boundaries to get to where he is aiming at and there’s no stopping this Mr. Determined.

before I step on stage, I pray. I need to be in the right mood, to have positive energy and feel it. I still get butterflies (in my stomach).

I’ve hosted shows with a hundred thousand people and I still get butterflies (in my stomach). No matter how big or small, I believe I should never be over-confident. It keeps it exciting for you.

How has your journey been so far as the host of Nigerian Idol? It’s been amazing. When I am off season, if I am not doing other work, I’ll be so depressed because I’ve met so many people (on the show). It’s like my career has been promoting other stars; finding them, pushing their material. Then, when the Idol job came, it was the icing on the cake. It was me going around the country and seeing exactly what Nigeria has to offer.

Have you done any movies and do you plan to?Quite a few people have been trying to muscle me into that but I’m like ‘No’. I’m not going to star in any movie yet. I want to shoot a movie actually. I’m working on a TV series. I will produce and direct. I might do a cameo

in it but I’m not sure I want to be in anybody’s movie. Before all that, I need to know that I have

been successful, especially in music, before I transcend because I have

priorities.

What are the perks you have received due to your OAP status? It’s been good business-wise. When I go for meetings, it kind of breaks the ice. I step into a

business meeting and they are receptive. Plus people tend to trust

you more because they know I’m not going to run away. People tend to trust

you and have faith in you.

What’s your ideal vacation spot?I would like to go to Japan, Ibiza and Vegas!!! Once in your life time, you have to go to Vegas. I can’t wait for that; pictures coming in, Instagram etc. I want to take some time out and go for like a week.

How do you let off steam after work?(Chuckles) I kind of work all the time. My office and my house are in the same place for now, anyways. I see myself like a doctor on call 24/7 because there’s always stuff to be done and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work because I hate being idle. Although I do go out once in a while on a low key, I’ll be in corner somewhere in the club. I’m generally not a loud person so…

Are you single?I don’t understand what kind of question that is.

(Laughs) If I was not single, it would be very obvious; people will be catching me everywhere. I’m married, actually, to my job. That’s my first wife. I am single. (Laughs) Hopefully, I should change that status soon.

Out of all the shows you’ve hosted which is your most memorable?

Wow! Hard question! They’re all my babies because aside from Nigerian Idol, I produce everything else that I’ve been on. I am a firm believer in doing your own thing. I can’t really pick one but one of my most exciting is ‘Radio Out Loud’ where we featured both local and international artistes. It was like reality radio where I get to kick back with celebrities. So, I would say ‘Radio Out Loud’. What advice will you give up and coming presenters and artistes?

Believe in yourself. I always say, it’s one thing to think you’re good at something and another thing is to be really good at it. Identify your passion and turn your passion into your profession. That way, you will make money while doing what you love to do.

I got into TV because someone challenged me to do something about a situation instead of always complaining. I got turned down a lot but no matter what, don’t deter; the internet is your friend.

“Identify your passion and then turn

your passion into your

profession.”

REPORTAGE

August 17, 2014 / 9

When did you know you wanted to be a presenter? That’s a tricky question. I’ve always wanted to own a

radio station. I knew I wanted to present when I was fresh out of university. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I would have done that earlier but I was kind of slow. So, although I studied Economics, I didn’t want to work in the bank or any financial institution. I figured that since I’m good at talking, why not venture into presenting.

How long have you been presenting?About 14 years now.

What challenges have you encountered during the time you have hosted TV shows?

So many challenges. First of all, every show has a different spirit and a different attitude to it. For some shows, the presenter is the star of the show while for some, the contestants are the stars. Truth is, you have to figure out your place.

For instance, in Big Brother, presenters are facilitators but aren’t necessarily the stars of the show. You have to understand how to play up the housemates and deliver the show without trying to be front and centre. Some of the challenges are in interpreting the role of the presenter and every now and then, you get a difficult crew. Also, there’s trying to understand the mind of the producer.

Who is your role model?Internationally, I would say one of my first role models

was Will Smith because he made it goofy. He (also) has good work ethics and he is doing well taking care of his family and all. Also, I would say Ryan Seacrest because he has gone from being just a player to most valuable player, to being the owner of the team; some people are content to be great basketballers but some go from there to being great owners. That’s what Ryan Seacrest has done in the presentation industry. He has gone from being a notable presenter to actually producing shows and making other stars. Locally, Ben Bruce. I like how he jumped into the entertainment industry and started a radio station when they weren’t popular; started cinema when cinema culture had died. He’s a man of vision.

You used to be called “Wild Child”. Why the change? Many people have their opinions as to why I dropped

the name “Wild Child” but the real reason is I realized three things. One, I had gotten to a point where I couldn’t grow with the name ‘Wild Child’ because the name had been taken so, it would have been conflicting. I wouldn’t have rights to the name, especially internationally which I hoped to be someday. Secondly, I wouldn’t be able to pass on the name to my kids. I realized if you have something good, it should be able to benefit the generations after you. So, if you develop a good name, for instance, I want my kids to proudly say their name outside and people to respect and recognize them because of my legacy, so I decided to go with my real name.

The final reason is, I wanted to be more Nigerian and ‘Wild Child’ is a name you cannot peg to anybody. It’s not Nigerian, African, American etc. and, unfortunately, I don’t speak any Nigerian language well enough to prove I’m

Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa formerly called “Wild Child” is an internationally acclaimed show host

and presenter. The exceptional presenter is popular for his work hosting ‘Big Brother Africa’ TV show. The lanky mic maestro erupted into the limelight as a radio presenter for Rhythm 93.7FM. Since then, there’s been no looking back for this eloquent bloke.

Nigerian. So, what better way to fly your country’s flag than to use your real name? Once you say IK, everybody knows your Nigerian or Osakioduwa, they will be like you better be Nigerian. (laughs)

What pre-show rituals do you perform before going on stage?

I like to be happy. One of the best ways to be a good presenter is to be comfortable and in your element. To do that, you have to be happy. You have to be in that place where you aren’t under pressure and nerves have left you and you are excited to do your job. At that point, I don’t allow nervous people come around me. Sometimes, it could be the producer or the client or anyone because nerves are contagious.

I also eat light 6 hours before the show because you do not want to have need to use the rest-room or feel bloated or start burping when you are on stage. I eat salads just to have enough energy to deliver the work that needs to be done.

How do you let off steam after a hard day’s job?I love TV. After a hard day’s job, whether a show or

concert, I just turn on the TV and try to catch a movie or I get CDs or I take myself out for ice cream because I like ice cream. You’ve got to develop a post-show ritual, something to reward yourself with.

I’ve come to realize that the two times we make the biggest mistakes in life are when you have your greatest success or when you have your greatest failure. If you can take control of those two, you can avert scandals.

After a show, some people start looking for gratification, someone to tell you well done. So, instead of waiting for someone else to do it, I do it for myself by taking myself out for ice cream or I go watch a movie and enjoy myself.

How has the journey been, so far, working as the host of Big Brother?

It’s been quite interesting, especially meeting people from different countries. I love watching the housemates do their thing, working with the team. It’s quite a big production team; the biggest I’ve ever worked with. There’s so much to learn from the group. It helps to make you a better presenter and it’s one of the most

exciting things to do. I especially like the international appeal it gives you; like anywhere you go, people just recognize and respect you.

What perks have you received due to your OAP status?

International acclaim, better treatment and, most especially, it’s very good for business because people recognize that you host an international show because you probably have international standard. So, they are willing to pay you your worth; where under normal circumstances, they would be questioning your worth.

From all the shows you have hosted, which is your most memorable?

Big Brother without a doubt. I love all the shows I’ve been on. I love ‘Studio 53’. I got a lot of training from there – how to do interviews, how to engage a crowd, how to speak to viewers through the TV screen. That’s where I got the highest amount of training, Studio 53 now called ‘53 Extra’. I got to travel to a lot of cool places, Uganda, Zambia etc.

But all in all, Big Brother is my most memorable. It’s dynamic and unpredictable. It always has a new energy to it.

What’s your ideal holiday spot?Well, to me, if I’m travelling for shopping, America or

England is pretty good. For sights and sounds, Africa is a lot better than America. For luxury

shopping, (it has to be) Dubai. Meanwhile, South Africa has it

all – good food, sights and sounds, shopping, history

etc. They capture all the elements people travel for.

What project are you working on currently?

I have another show coming up. I can’t spill on it just yet but I have another

one which MNET and I are working on. Plus,

we’re getting ready for Big Brother really soon. All

systems are going to make another fantastic show but while

we’re working on it, we are developing another programme concept.

What advice will you give up and coming presenters?

Don’t be a diva. I see too many divas nowadays. They present one show and they are celebrities! You can’t talk to them again, can’t teach them anything because they feel they are the talent nobody should talk to, nobody can train them. With this attitude, you will never grow. The crew will see you making mistakes and they won’t fix it for you because of your arrogance. So, don’t be a diva.

Learn from the camera guy, he knows how to get good shots for you. Learn from the audio guy, he knows how you sound best. Learn from the technical director etc. Learn from everyone on set. They can really help you grow. Don’t be a diva. There are just too many in the industry.

So, how is married life treating you?I am so grateful to be married. I think my life would be

messed up if I weren’t married. Being married anchors you in a sense. It gives you a sense of direction, especially when you have children. It helps you focus on how to manage your money; not just spending randomly and living for chicks and for parties. Right now, I’ve set my sights on a lot of things; like leaving my legacy for my kids, like businesses they can run etc.

I’m grateful to be married. My wife and I are very practical. There will be temptations but what you do with it is what counts. People act like they love you but are just attracted to the name and status you have. The one person I know who loves me for me is my wife.

“I’ve come to

realize that the two times we make

the biggest mistakes in life are when you have your greatest success

or when you have your greatest

failure.”

2424What keeps you going when you wake up in the morning? How do you start your day?I wake up at about 4.25a.m. daily. I drink water, play gos-pel music or watch an edition of BBC News, pray in the shower and drive 6km to my office in Ikoyi, Lagos.

What is your work life like?I have a pretty regular routine. I work for myself for two hours before work starts for the day at 8a.m. or I catch up with social media contacts.

TwenTy FOURin hrs

What beauty products do you use?It depends on what I want to achieve per time. They range from natural products to top-of-the-line beauty products. I use shea butter, coconut oil to glycerin, Vaseline and more.

Can you take us through what you are wearing now?I love the calm and elegance of burnt orange. So, I’m spotting a blouse and navy blue and dark grey pants.

Whatever is in your handbag now tells what you carry around on a working day. So, what is in your handbag now?(Laughs) You don’t want to know; perfume, ATM card, phones, make-up kit, with bits of this and that. I have a phobia for being stranded so I stuff my bag.

What sets you apart in terms of fashion?I am often seen in short gowns. I have reduced the frequency of times when I wear pants.

What would you not do in the name of fashion?Wear a trendy thing that is unsuitable for my body shape.

How long does it take you to plan your outfit for the day?Ten minutes in the morning, maybe.

What do you eat for breakfast?Beans and plantain or plantain and vegetable on weekends.

What would you have for lunch?Jollof rice or Semovita; real-ly healthy mix of vegetables with minimal oil.

So after work, how do you relax?Sleep, sleep and I go to my favourite hang out for fish or I watch a movie or read a book to replenish.

How do you maintain your figure? Do you have a fitness rou-tine?My only fitness routine is watching my diet. I eat healthy and light meals. I also try water therapy and I wish I can walk more often.

What kind of food do you eat for dinner?Eko (Corn meal) and vegetables with stock fish or Basmati rice and fish.

Around what time do you go to bed?Uhmmm... On the average, never earlier than 11p.m.

On June 4, 2014, phe-nomenal producer, pre-senter, entrepreneur and media trainer, Fun-ke-Treasure Durodola, was named General Manager of Radio One FM, making her one of the youngest general managers in Nigeria. Mrs. Durodola took the mantle of leadership from her predecessor, Mrs. Sherifat Ahmed, with a mandate to trans-form the station into an all-news, all-talk and all-sports radio station. With two decades of working experience in broadcast journalism, much international ex-posure and training, including multiple awards, she is confident and hopeful that she will transform the face of broadcasting at Radio One. She also aspires to take the station far be-yond the norm by mak-ing it the favourite sta-tion of Lagos metropolis in terms of audience reach and market share. She talks about day from waking up to going to bed.

011HEALTHY LIVINGHEALTH

Hello my dear readers, it has been said that nearly eight in 10 heartburn sufferers experience symptoms at night. But staying up all night to fend off heartburn isn’t practical. Fortunately, sometimes all it takes to prevent nighttime heartburn is a few lifestyle changes. Here are several tips to help you feel better and get a good night’s rest -- free of heartburn.

WHat, HoW and WHen You eat 1. Eat 6 smaller meals each day instead of 3 larger ones. This will help keep the stomach from becoming too full, and help prevent excessive production of stomach acid.

2. If one of your meals ends up being larger than the others, aim to eat that meal for lunch instead of supper.

3. Don’t eat too quickly. One way to help you slow down while eating is to put your fork or spoon down between bites.

4. Avoid bending over soon after eating. Bending at the waist increases pressure on the stomach, and can increase heartburn symptoms.

5. Avoid late-night snacking. Eating shortly before going to bed can increase your chances of experiencing heartburn because of increased stomach acid levels.

6. Wait at least two to three hours after eating to go to bed. Lying down with a full stomach can cause stomach contents to press harder against the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), increasing the chances of refluxed food.

7. Limit the amount of citrus fruits, such as oranges and grapefruits that you eat.

8. Avoid spicy foods, and cut back on chili and pepper. Spicy foods are known to cause heartburn symptoms.

9. Limit acidic foods at dinnertime, such as tomatoes and oranges, as well as choices that are based on these foods (such as ketchup, spaghetti sauces, etc.)

10. Stick with lean meats. Fattier meats are heartburn triggers for many people.

11. Limit fried foods, especially if they are greasy. Greasy foods, such as French fries, can trigger

Tips To Stop Heartburn At Night

TERI SpeaksHi Teri,

I cut my hair late last year, because it was thinning out. I had used various treatments prior to that time. I want to go natural so, I’ve been putting my hair in braids, but, it’s so thick I can’t comb it. I want you to recommend creams that

Dear Adebisi, Thank you for your mail. There are 2 companies that come to mind. heartburn.

12. Limit the amount of chocolate you eat. No matter how good it tastes, chocolate is a heartburn trigger.

13. Avoid alcohol. Alcohol increases the production of stomach acid, and relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter (LES).

14. Avoid caffeinated drinks, such as colas and coffee. Caffeine relaxes the LES, increasing the risk of acid reflux.

15. Drink warm liquids. Drinking a glass of lukewarm water or herbal tea after a meal can dilute and flush out stomach acid.

16. Drink plenty of water, which helps with digestion. Do not drink too much water at one time, however. This just increases the stomach contents and can actually worsen heartburn symptoms. It is better to drink smaller amounts throughout the day rather than large amounts less often.

I can apply to soften the hair without losing its natural state. Thanks, Adebisi

Other Lifestyle Tips For Calming Nighttime Heartburn1. Sleep with your head and shoulders elevated. Lying flat allows stomach contents to press against the LES. Also, having the head higher than the stomach allows gravity to keep stomach contents where they belong.

2. Sleep on your left side. Studies have shown that this position aids digestion and helps with the removal of stomach acid. Sleeping on the right side has been shown to worsen heartburn.

3. Make sure your bed clothes are loose-fitting. Clothing that fits tightly around the abdomen -- such as tight belts and waistbands -- will squeeze the stomach, forcing food up against the LES. This can cause food to reflux into the esophagus.

4. Stop smoking. Nicotine can weaken the LES. Smoking also stimulates the production of stomach acid.

5. Take an antacid when heartburn hits. Antacids will work very quickly on heartburn you may be experiencing before you go to bed. If you are taking an antacid more than once or twice a week, you should see your doctor about another treatment plan.

6. Lose weight. If you are overweight, the pressure of excess weight can increase the chance that stomach acid will back up into your esophagus.

7. Relax! Stress may lead to an increase in stomach acid production. It is also known to lead to behaviors that can trigger heartburn, such as overeating.

8. Get regular exercise, which can help with digestion. Just make sure to wait at least two hours after a meal before breaking a sweat. Exercising on a too-full stomach can trigger heartburn.

HEALTH TIPS:Lets all remember to wash our hands and carry sanitizers with us at all times. We are all safer when more people are aware of the ebola virus, so lets educate ourselves and our loved ones

FERTILITY DIET

While all nutrients are important for health, there are some that have been specifically shown to have a direct impact on fertility. Below is a list of these nutrients and the foods you can find them in…MicronutrientsAntioxidants, Vitamins & Minerals for FertilityVitamin D: Vitamin D is needed to help the body create sex hormones which in turn, affects ovulation and hormonal balance. Yale University School of Medicine, conducted a study of 67 infertile women, where it was discovered that a mere 7% had normal Vitamin D levels.Food sources: Eggs, fatty fish, dairy, and cod liver oil. You can also get vitamin D from sitting out in the sun for 15 to 20 minutes per day. I KNOW WHERE YOUR FUTURE WIFE IS!

When I met him, he was the Receptionist at the Hotel, and he was very polite. I used the hotel a lot whenever I was out of town, and noticed how hard working he is. I took interest in him, because I knew there was something about him.

We would sit down together at the Lounge and talk, and I realised he had so many dreams, but didn’t have the back up he needed. I knew he would go far in Life if he had support, and so I asked why he was not married. He said that he had been unlucky with women, and that the kind of ladies he met asked for money he didn’t have, and so decided to stay off relationships.

Now, this Guy knows nothing about me and what I do, all he thought was I am a Motivational Speaker or something close to that. I told him that I know someone he may like to meet and who may appreciate him for who he is. He thought I was kidding, and I fixed a meeting. He met her, a Lady who is quite industrious and had been blessed with opportunities.

Now the story is getting Long...They are married now. He didn’t stop working at

the hotel, but he is now the Manager of the hotel and making the owners proud. He is also at peace to spread out his wings and fly, and that’s what happens to “HARDWORKING” men when they get HELP that is MEET.

All he wore when I met him was white T-shirts on a black trouser with the name of the hotel printed on it. But I saw beyond that and I am grateful to

God that I did. I also knew that beyond our Human Heart being desperately wicked, that this man is a good man, and when I call his wife now, she says at times that, “thank you Jerome for making a good man find me”, and that for me is success.

That’s why I don’t sit down in one place, I keep going about looking for good men. Very hard working men who don’t spend their time on the social media, posting or tweeting loud, pretending to be what they are not. Men who are Big on

the social media, but NOBODIES in the real World when you meet them. For me to get the kind of men I want, I have to be out there where they are working hard and doing everything they can to update their lives. I am ALWAYS eager to make such hard working men meet women who are succeeding at what they are doing, because such women look good, and do good beside these type of men.

Are you such a man? Invite me to where you work irrespective of what you do, and we will SEARCH for and

antioxidant because it not only helps to protect the female reproductive organs and has been shown to improve sperm quality and motility but it also helps the body to continually re-use the antioxidants in the body.Food sources: In small amounts found in potatoes, spinach and red meat.B6: Vitamin B6 may be used as a hormone regulator. It also helps to regulate blood sugars, alleviates PMS, and may be useful in relieving symptoms of morning sickness. B6 has also been shown to help with Luteal Phase Defect.Food sources: Tuna, banana, turkey, liver, salmon, cod, spinach, bell peppers, and turnip greens, collard greens, garlic, cauliflower, mustard greens, celery, cabbage, asparagus, broccoli, kale, Brussels sprouts, chard.B12: Vitamin B12 has been shown to improve sperm quality and production. It also may help to boost the endometrium lining in egg fertilization, decreasing the chances of miscarriage. Some studies have found that a deficiency of B12 may increase the chances of irregular ovulation, and in severe cases stop ovulation altogether.Food sources: Clams, oysters, mussels, liver, caviar (fish eggs), fish, crab, lobster, beef, lamb, cheese, eggs.Folic Acid: Perhaps one of the best known vitamins necessary for pregnancy is folic acid. This vitamin helps prevent neural tube defects as well as congenital heart defects, cleft lips, limb defects, and urinary tract anomalies in developing fetuses. Deficiency in folic acid may increase the risk of going into preterm delivery, infant low birth weight and fetal growth retardation. Deficiency may also increase the homocysteine level in the blood, which can lead to spontaneous abortion and pregnancy complications, such as placental abruption and pre-eclampsia.

“The right Attitude” is also considered a highly essential ingredient for success, and this is simply because it (Attitude) is everything.

Attitude gives the one hundredth percent edge for everyday successes. Do you know what happens when you are satisfied and pleased with yourself? Subconsciously you begin to smile

from the inside out.To complement her talent and

competencies, alongside expressing elegance, poise, refinement, sophistication and individuality which propel her to the top, a lady must be hospitable, provide a warm, comfortable and friendly environment or atmosphere for people around her. This is her way of expressing goodwill.

Alongside exhibiting the right attitude, she must be conscious of her appearance. Caring for her looks is as good as protecting her jewels. She must learn to dress appropriately, wear the right color, and get some good footwear.

Before you begin to set financial goals, it is important to first of all assess your financial health. You can do this by calculating your net worth. Calculate your net worth by determining your assets and liabilities and deducting your assets from your liabilities. Assets include cash equivalents (current account, savings account, money market accounts, certificates of deposits, treasury bills and cash value of life insurance) , investments (stocks, bonds, mutual fund investments, partnership interests), retirement funds (pension, retirement savings account), and personal assets ( residences, automobiles, art, antiques, home furnishing, jewelry). On the other hand liabilities include, credit card balances, personal loans, student loans, car loans, margin loans, mortgages, life insurance policy loans and projected income tax liabilities.

You have a net worth if your assets exceed your liabilities, however if your assets are equal to your liabilities or less than your liabilities, this

means that your financial position is weak.Once you have determined your financial health/position is it important to begin to set financial goals. Examples of financial goals to consider setting include the following:

1. Pay off your debtThis year set a goal to pay off your debt. In this case debt refers to consumer debt. Consumer debt is basically debt that is used to fund consumption (acquiring bags, electronic toys etc). This

type of debt includes, credit card debt, car loans etc. A suggested approach would be to spend less than you earn and do not acquire anything that you do not have the cash to pay for. Try to

reduce impulsive and compulsive spending. 2. Create an emergency fund It is important to create an emergency fund. In life unforeseen incidences occur such as illness, loss of job, etc. It is important to

create an emergency fund to mitigate against these unforeseen incidences. Financial planners suggest that you have atleast 3- 6

months of your monthly income saved. A goal setting tip would be to create a savings account and instruct your bankers to debit your account on a monthly basis with the intended sum. It is important to ensure that the savings vehicle is safe as the objective is not to increase wealth but to create a safety net. 3. Plan for retirementIt is important to plan for retirement even if you are not in retirement age. Actually this is the best time to plan towards retirement. It is essentially just saving for the long term. You can do this through various vehicles such as a pensions fund or a retirement savings account. Planning for retirement enables you to maintain your standard of living when you are in your golden years.

out of place because of inappropriate dressing.

Nuance is that factor that would propel a lady to position herself for opportunities (both easy and difficult ones), and see them as stepping stones to success.

Be that Lady with a difference!
