    Cambridge Lower Secondary / Pre IGCSE (Grade 8)Cambridge Lower Secondary is typically for learners aged 13 to 14 years. It develops skills and understanding in English, Mathematics, Science and ICT. Coupled with enrichment programmes in Eight of our IGCSE introduction courses. This phase emphasized transferable skills to the Upper Secondary level.

    Students have the flexibility of making their own selection of two of their Pre IGCSE courses. Five of the subjects will be compulsory to all Grade 8 students.

    International General Certificate of Secondary Education (Grade 9 & 10)Cambridge IGCSE is the world's most popular international qualification for 15 to 16-year olds. It is recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide and is an international passport to progression and success. We offer three compulsory subjects of the IGCSE qualification and a further eight subjects to choose three from.

    Advance Level (Grade 11 & 12)Thousands of learners worldwide gain places at leading universities every year with Cambridge International AS / A Levels. The syllabuses develop a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills. We offer an individualised curriculum, and learners can choose to specialise in a particular subject area or study a range of subjects. A maximin of four AS / A Level subjects over two years are recommended for students who want to pursue studies in SA, Canada, UK, Europe, Germany, Australia and Top USA Universities, etc.

    IGCSE Course InformationThe IGCSE examination is an internationally recognised examination set by Cambridge Assessment International Education. The results scored for this examination is often used by students to gain entry to various universities and tertiary institutions of many countries. Students who have taken the course will be equipped to organise and analyse data, facts and information. They tend to be creative and think critically on a given topic.

    1. Course Duration:Duration: 2 Years; Final examination in October/ November of their second year.Students will attend practical workshops (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) on Saturday mornings.

    2. Course entry requirement(s) · Entrance assessment to be complete at Alma Mater College (an 'equivalent entry' of the student's school results will be required before assessment.)

    · The student must be at least 13 years or older on application year.· English language requirement of Grade 8 / Lower Secondary level

    3. Course learning outcome(s)Students will be introduced or learn about the content of selected subjects according to syllabi set by Cambridge Assessment International Examination. To abtain an IGSCE certificate for exams in October / November of their second year.

    4. Modules:Students have a choice of the following possible subject combination choices. The approval of any other subject combination is at the sole discretion of Alma Mater College.

    5. Examination and/ or other assessment periodInternal Assessments are included within the course. External CAIE final examination taken in October / November of year two of IGCSE’s.

    6. Expected examination results release dateCAIE results are usually released in January of the following year after the examination.

    7. Course CompletionStudents must attain a minimum of 80% attendance to complete the IGCSE course.
