ALMACO has over 10 years of experience in delivering prefabri-
cated bathrooms around the world. ALMACO has in-house design
capabilities at its center of excellence in Finland and has worked with
modular bathroom suppliers in Finland and China to ensure they can
meet the strict marine and land standards.
ALMACO prefabricated bathroom has undergone a strict European
testing regime including waterproofing, shock resistance of wall,
among others.
Testing of ALMACO bathroom was executed by VTT Technical Re-
search Centre of Finland, the approval body in Finland nominated to
issue European Technical Approvals ETAs, comparable to the DIBt,
Deutsches Institut fuer Bautechnik and others.

DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT ALMACO Modular Bathroom is factory made bathroom, which is installed into building usually from the top during frame work or from side before installation of facades. Modular bathrooms are produced as tailor made according to wishes of the customer and plans of the destination.
ALMACO Modular Bathrooms water proofing, tiling, furnishing and HVAC works belonging to the request are made in the factory.
The floor of the bathroom is concrete slab which lies on the steel sheet construction equipped with legs. Floor heating can be installed into concrete if requested. Concrete slab is encapsulated with liquid applied waterproofing kit and is tiled with ceramic tiles. Walls and roof are made of steel sheet elements equipped with thermal insulation. Walls are tiled with ceramic tiles. Ceiling is either PVC coated steel sheet or is handled according to the customers wishes. Other equipment are chosen and installed according to the wishes of the customer. Electric, water and sewage installations and heating equipment are installed according to the plans of the destination. Sound insulation is planned according to requirements of the destination.
CERTIFICATION PROCEDURE This certificate is based on an initial type testing and assessment of the product and inspection of the quality assurance system related to the product, as per sections 3, 9 and 16. The general certification procedures are based on the certification system of VTT Expert Services Oy.
This certificate is valid highest five (5) years from the date of issue and the terms of validity are given in section 18.

ALMACO Prefabricated Bathrooms
ALMACO prefabricated bathroom structure consists of very rigid
galvanized wall cassettes with rock wool in between steel sheets for
sound insulation. Floor structure is made out of steel. Our in house
design team follow the requests the customer has set in regards
to style, measurement, specification and engineering standards.
ALMACO bathrooms always follow the regulations set by the local
authorities.
QUALITY PROCESSDuring the production ALMACO bathroom goes through an exten-
sive quality process to secure that it meets the standards set. Extra
checks are done to secure that the water permeability is done cor-
rectly and that no leakages occur. Before shipment the bathrooms
goes through an quality test that include water pressure testing and
testing of all electrical equipment.
InSTALLATIOnThe hoisting of the prefabricated bathroom is done
either with an adjustable H-beam with hooks provided
by ALMACO or alternatively with long chains. In each
bathroom there are connecting hooks in the corner of the
bathroom to enable easy hoisting to final location with a
crane. Installation to the final position in the building usu-
ally takes less than 30 minutes.
