Mechanical Properties
The achievable mechanical properties are strongly dependent on the casting method applied. The tablerefers to typical properties obtained in sand casting (S) and gravity die casting (G). Values in bracketsindicate the minimum values according to EN 1706.

Melt Treatment
Mg-loss and hydrogen pick-up during melting can be reduced by small additions of Be Thorough degassing is necessary Grain refinement with Ti-B is recommended Casting temperature: 690 to 740°C
Heat Treatment
With the low Si content, the alloy is not heat treated.
