We get to celebrate each life,

each mom, each dad &each baby!

There are no words to describe the first time you see your tiny baby'sface. It is just too amazing of an experience to describe. There are lots of firsts with pregnancy and having a baby. The first time you find outyou are pregnant, the first time you see your baby move on the ultrasound, the first time you feel your baby kick, the first timeyou hear your baby cry, the first time you hold your baby, the first time you feed your baby–the list continues.

Here at the Alpha Center, we get to walk beside our clients as they go through many of these firsts and help them sort outwhatever emotions they might be feeling. We get to talk with them as they are awaiting the results of a pregnancy test. We get to see the baby with them on the ultrasound screen and point out the baby's arms, legs, head and heartbeat. Whether they’ve decided to parent or choose adoption, we get to visit them at the hospital and see thenew little life that they had the courage and strength to bring into thisworld. CLIENT TESTIMONY

I found out I was pregnant from a store-bought test mycoworker had laying around at home. When the result cameback positive, I spent the next few weeks in denial. I figured

I better tell the father, “a friend,” but he wasn’t answering mycalls. So I texted him the news. He immediately fired back accusations like “how could you let this happen” and “youneed to take care of this problem now.” Growing up in aChristian home I knew that abortion was wrong, but now he had put the idea in my head and my thought carousel

kept coming back around to it. HHoowweevveerr,, II wwaanntteedd ttoo hhaavvee tthhiiss bbaabbyy..

I felt so overwhelmed. The stress of not knowing how I wasgoing to pay for my baby’s necessities was constantly on my

mind. I came across the Alpha Center online after my momhad suggested I seek out the help of a Christian pregnancy

center. However, I didn’t actually take the initiative of comingin until after having a conversation with my sister-in-law.

She knew my situation and how I was struggling with the idea of affording and caring for a baby by myself. She told

me, “I had a friend in a similar situation and she went to theAlpha Center. It’s a great organization for single mothers

and they have many programs to help you.”

TThhee AAllpphhaa CCeenntteerr wwaass aabbllee ttoo ttaallkk ttoo mmee aabboouutt aallll ooff mmyy ooppttiioonnss rreeggaarrddiinngg mmyy pprreeggnnaannccyy.. The classes I began have

not only helped me financially, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually as well. I have learned so much about being a parent through the Alpha Center’s Earn While You Learn

Program, mentoring program and weekly Life Skills ParentingClasses and I feel supported as a single mom. II’’mm ssoo ggllaadd

tthhaatt II ddoonn’’tt ffeeeell aalloonnee aannyymmoorree and that I have had the opportunity to meet other women going through a similar situation. The financial partners that Alpha Center has are

amazing, as well as the staff and volunteers. Honestly, I have become closer to God because of their generosity.

My future plans involve becoming a strong Christian mother for my 2 month old baby Jadie*.
