For something most useful to us, we need something philosophically suited to our approach, something that doesn't rely on begging some "god" or other to do anything for us, something which doesn't imply psychologically that we need any sort of "angel" or other external whatever "looking out" for us, something that maintains the correct symbolism, but which is psychologically useful, and also maintains and affirms our essential sovereignty. To that end, this is what I and several others have been using for a few years: 1. Clasp and hold the hands together; touching the forehead, say: "ad Te," 2. Touching the genitals, say: "O Puer," 3. Touching the chest, say: "Uis Flammaque" 4. Push the still clasped hands forward, then say: "dentur" 5. Unclasp the hands, and swinging the arms back into the form of a cross, say: "in Æone." 6. Lower the head, slightly, and bring both open hands up to a point where the tips of the fingers touch the junction of the brows, with the palms partially covering the closed eyes. Say: "consequar." 7. In the East, trace a Pentagram, vibrating: "LUCIFEX." 8. In the North, the same, vibrating: "VITIFEX." 9. In the West, again, vibrating: "AMORIFEX." 10. Lastly, the same in the South, vibrating: "LIBERTATIFEX." 11. Continue around to the East, completing the Circle, then retire back to the Centre, assuming the form of a cross. Say: semper Lux in fronte mei considat et præeat me; semper Amor circum cor mei velet et post me eat prope; et semper habeam Libertatem Vitamque in manibus mei. abhinc quinque elementa domui, et in me se concordes facti sunt: in me est mundus manifestum perfecte adeo coronatus fui velut Regem summum; et, en, inter septem domus regias mei sto cumque hoc uociferatione, uocem mei, attollo: consecutus sum! 12. Pause to realize the image and the Attainment. 13. through 18. Repeat steps 1 through 6, yet alter 6 to say: "consequantur huic Adeptiæ omnia studiosa."

To that end, this is what I and several others have been using for a few years:

1. Clasp and hold the hands together; touching the forehead, say: "ad Te,"

2. Touching the genitals, say: "O Puer,"

3. Touching the chest, say: "Uis Flammaque"

4. Push the still clasped hands forward, then say: "dentur"

5. Unclasp the hands, and swinging the arms back into the form of a cross, say: "in Æone."

6. Lower the head, slightly, and bring both open hands up to a point where the tips of the fingers touch the junction of the brows, with the palms partially covering the closed eyes. Say: "consequar."

7. In the East, trace a Pentagram, vibrating: "LUCIFEX."

8. In the North, the same, vibrating: "VITIFEX."

9. In the West, again, vibrating: "AMORIFEX."

10. Lastly, the same in the South, vibrating: "LIBERTATIFEX."

11. Continue around to the East, completing the Circle, then retire back to the Centre, assuming the form of a cross. Say:

semper Lux in fronte mei considat et præeat me; semper Amor circum cor mei velet et post me eat prope; et semper habeam Libertatem Vitamque in manibus mei.

abhinc quinque elementa domui, et in me se concordes facti sunt: in me est mundus manifestum perfecte adeo coronatus fui velut Regem summum; et, en, inter septem domus regias mei sto cumque hoc uociferatione, uocem mei, attollo:

consecutus sum!

12. Pause to realize the image and the Attainment.

13. through 18. Repeat steps 1 through 6, yet alter 6 to say: "consequantur huic Adeptiæ omnia studiosa."
