Putting Psychology to Work Eriana Blankinship ‘19 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT Eriana Blankinship ‘19 hails from Kansas City, Missouri. She is currently in Ireland for the MAPP Dublin Summer Internship Program. She was the recipient of the Tenopyr Prize, awarded annually by the faculty to a MAPP student best demonstrating the ideals of the program. Living and working abroad was an experience that I have always wanted. After my time in Ireland I feel prepared to begin my career with an educational background that will stand out to employers. The combinaon of psychological theories and praccal business applicaon was exactly what I was looking for in a graduate program. I had such a rewarding experience over my four years as an undergraduate that when I was accepted into MAPP, I knew I would love the extra year as a Trojan! Why did you choose the USC MAPP program? What are your future career goals? How has your experience been in Dublin so far? The opportunity to intern in Dublin, Ireland was just another thing that drew me to MAPP. Living abroad was an experience that I have always wanted and gaining work experience while doing so is a bonus. I am Aſter my me in Ireland, I feel prepared to begin my career with an educaonal background that will stand out to employers. MAPP has introduced me to so many career opportunies and given me the foundaon to connue to grow in the field of organizaonal psychology. I will be returning to Golin for a full-me job upon my return from Dublin! currently interning at the law firm Matheson in their Learning and Development department. I am not only learning how L&D is pracced in another company but also another country, and I am excited to bring back the different perspecve to my work in the United States. What was your experience like at MAPP? The most rewarding part of the MAPP program was working alongside a group of peers who were all entering a similar phase in our careers. My cohort not only became friends, but the year allowed us to grow and strengthen our professional networks . During my spring semester, I completed an internship at Golin, a progressive public relaons agency, while balancing a full course-load— my me management skills reached new heights!
