Amata municipality in figures

Amata is located in Vidzeme region, 60-80 km from Rīga in east-west direction. There is the highway Rīga -Pskov and

railroad passing through the Amata. The total area - 745,51 km2 (74551 ha) Population ~ 6370 1 July 2009 Amata municipality merged

by 5 rural municipalities - Amata, Drabeši, Nītaure, Skujene and Zaube.
