Following Intrada's releases of Amazing Stories Anthologies 1 and 2 comes the eagerly anticipated final anthology. As with the first two anthologies, this release is a 2-CD set and showcases another stunning lineup of composers for more episodes from Steven Spielberg's mid-80s television series. Highlighting this release are dramatic scores by veteran composer Fred Steiner, who also worked on both The Twilight Zone and Star Trek TV series, Michael Kamen in his intense style, and a lengthy score by Alan Silvestri for the quirky hour-long Go to the Head of the Class. But the crown jewel of the release, and the entire series for that matter, is John Williams' score for The Mission. Williams approaches this as he would a theatrical project for Spielberg, with a motion-picture sized orchestra and a powerful, epic score as only John Williams can compose. The recording is crisp and vibrant, allowing you to hear every detail and trademark Williams' sound as only captured in this original recording.
