2. Project Belgium: Vision & Mission
Provide a unique ± 1 year extra‐curricular leadership program to ±20 motivated
individuals (5th year Atheneum Antwerpen) with a highly intensive and challenging personal
development track focusing on leadership, empowerment and entrepreneurship.
What phenomena/tendencies do we want to focus on?
1. Boosting General (ASO), technical (TSO) and occupational (BSO) skills ► Short Term
2. Encourage Entrepreneurship with Flemish Youth ► Short Term
Ambition:
Start: 1 project in Antwerp with 20 motivated participants per year
Reach out to + 100 young people per year in 5 cities within first 10 years of project.
► Presence in Hasselt, Leuven, Antwerpen, Gent, Brugge

A. Model United Nations‐ ThiMUN
What?
Simulation of United Nations where students play the role of a specific country, debating about
global issues with students from around the world. 4‐5 day conference in The Hague in English.
How? – 2 weekly interactive workshops to train the participants:
• Researching issues & structural writing
• Defending position of country through argumentation & negotiation
• Speech training & presentation skills
• Social psychology, networking & group dynamics ‐> Role of individual in group
• Leadership development
• Intercultural awareness
Why? (Individual Reward)
Self‐awareness, confidence building, team‐building, cognitive skills & social skills boost

B. Project Management
What?
Participants develop a project based on their own ideas after brainstorming & group
discussion. They get support from us in how to translate ideas into reality via budgeting,
contacting partners, communication, legal aspects, managing a team, they are in charge & we
support/ provide balance & support to good outcome.
How?
Start with decision on project (in WE) ‐> Task division at start ‐> Pillar Leader follows up status
of things to do & delivery. Workshops in a highly interactive & fun manner in which we build on
the ideas of the participants. Every 2 weeks we develop another part of the bigger puzzle.
Why? (Individual Reward)
Entrepreneurial empowerment, learn how to run a project & the different aspects. Team‐work
& managing a project, basics in budgeting, communication, legal aspects, contact with
partners, …

C. Exchange to Venezuela
What?
Offer intercultural exchange to Venezuela to participants that would otherwise not come in
direct contact with this Latin‐American culture in a country with major difficulties. Common
project with Embajadas Communitarios our partner in Venezuela.
How?
A 10 day exchange to Petare in Caracas, Ven. Part in the city, part outside of the city. Organize
common activities with EC & coordinate all aspects of the trip ‐> Plan activities that make the
participants really discover the culture & the life in Venezuela.
Why? (Individual Reward)
International/Intercultural exchange that rewards the participants for their year of hard work.
Team‐building & confidence building. Intercultural awareness that stimulates the participants
to expand their horizons.

Provide the participants with a personally tailored approach, support in multiple aspects of
the leadership track + personal life.
How ?
1) Prepare & execute the selection of candidates
2) Follow‐up of participants via the personal growth track system

3) Be the trusted‐person for the participants
4) Strong involvement in planning & execution of personality oriented trainings
