School
Due to the high volume of calls that we receive for student messages,
we ask that you make transportation arrangements with your children
before they depart for school in the morning.
Your cooperation will greatly minimize the interruptions during the
instructional day.
If a message is necessary, please call before 2:30 so we can get the message to your student
in a timely manner.
On early release days, please call before 1:30.
Attention Parents:
Please encourage your student to drink plenty of
water at home and school, as the temperature is
still fairly high.

Art News!!!
Hello Firebirds! Dear parents please look for your student’s art to come home this coming
week. It is our original artworks fundraiser. PLEASE return ALL artwork! I would like to
use the artwork for bulletin boards, our art show and to pick for the SUN magazine, so
please return artwork even if you are not purchasing.
This week and next we have a visiting artist, Fred King, who is sharing his method of
painting with our 4th and 5th graders. The students will be working on their version of the
Great Wave by Hokusai using their primed canvases and/or primed watercolor paper. A
unique experience for the students in art.
Lastly The Air Force is having their 2016 Art Contest. A call for entries in November
1-30th To enter go to: www.myairforcelife.com/artcontest
If anyone would like to volunteer in art class your help is always welcomed!
