signed the 2016 budget law in December which increased fund-
ing for cancer research at the National Institute of Health by $2
billion and another $264 million at the National Cancer Institute.
The team captains were challenged to sign-up a total of 40
CAN members by the February meeting to make our Relay a
CAN Event. Team Marshall was already a CAN team with 10
CAN members. By the end of the meeting, RFL of Williams
County had 40 CAN members and was the first CAN Event
in the state of Ohio. Congratulations!! We get pizza at our Feb-
ruary meeting!!
Teams are encouraged to sign-up 10 or more CAN mem-
bers to become CAN team and receive a garden banner to dis-
play at you campsite. Download the CAN membership form at:

Thank You !! To all who helped with the Pack the Track Challenge. We were able to increase our number of Par-
ticipants registered online from 156 to 304 in less than a week. If you have team members who have not yet registered,
encourage them to go to Sign Up and join your online team at http://www.relayforlife.org/williamscounty. There are no
registration fees. This enables team members to email for donations, to connect with the smart phone app and to partici-
pate in individual incentive awards.

Me Sweetheart Dance on Saturday, Feb. 6th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Montpelier Moose Family Center, 115 N. Airport Rd., Montpe-
lier. Enjoy an evening with your child(ren), suggested 4+ years old, both boys and girls, with snacks, activities and dancing to a DJ.
Presale tickets are $7 per individual and tickets at the door are $10 per individual. There will be 50/50 drawing, door prizes and pho-

Cupcakes for 50 cents or even a dozen for $6.00 and you can choose a message to have put on it. (This is a fun thing to do for your

Live Auction -- Kate Semer is coordinating the Live Auc-
tion. Each team can have up to 5 items sold during the
Live Auction at Relay. They should have a minimum

Silent Auction. Auction items should have a minimum
value of $10 and will be displayed overnight under the

Road to Recovery Race for adults and children -- Teams
will be asked in February to declare if they are going to
have entries in the race to be held on Saturday at Relay.
Remember this year we will be racing boats.
