History – the why
All Kids Count Project -1992-1999
Robert Wood Johnson grant funded the start-up of
several state IIS
Provided conferences & technical assistance
Need for continuation of this type of mutual support
recognized by IIS staff
Membership-based non-profit organization began
in 1999

AIRA’s Vision & Mission
Vision: A healthy, fully immunized community
supported by the electronic sharing of
information.
Mission: AIRA is an organization whose
mission is to promote the electronic use,
tracking and sharing of complete immunization
records for people of all ages.

Goal: To develop IIS assessment tools and process for the purpose of improving data quality, functional capacity, and data usage.
Build on AIRA’s prior work
Develop IIS assessment tools

Finalize tools and develop business plan for ongoing implementation
