Where the Money Goes 11:15 – 12:15
Human Resource professionals generally agree
on the value of assisting with employee
relocation costs. But with the average cost to
relocate a U.S. domestic current
homeowning-employee often exceeding $100k,
more and more organizations are reducing the
level of assistance provided. In many cases, this
is because HR professionals have not been able
to justify the investment to corporate
management. Before building a case for the
return on mobility investment, it is important to
understand all the various expense
components and where that money goes. This
session will help attendees understand where
the relocation dollars go (who gets what and
why). Additionally, the information shared in
this session will serve as a foundation for the
How Much Does It Cost To Save Money session,
which will examine how RMCs and other service
providers share their revenue streams.

Creating 20/20 Vision: Overcoming Common Mistakes & Errors in Data Analysis30 Minute Speed Session 14:00 – 14:30
In the Digital Age, data is no longer scarce —
it’s overpowering. The key is to sort through
the overwhelming amount of data available
and correctly interpret its implications. But to
sort through all this information, you need
good statistical data analysis tools. With all the
hype over “big data,” a lot of fancy tools,
techniques and outputs are available to
organizations. However, there are a handful of
basic data analysis tools that many
organizations aren’t using…to their detriment.
This session will provide attendees with basic
tools for identifying common issues in data
analysis, how to avoid common mistakes and
how to match data metrics to business
objectives.

How Much Does It Cost to Save Money? 14:00 – 15:00
Fees within relocation are often taboo subjects,
and as a result there is limited understanding
of them, what they do and how they can
actually provide additional value to an
organizations relo program while also securing
top service providers. Often times relocation
programs are able to exist solely due to the
fees that exist. But when is it too much?
