The AMG RACETRACK-Training sessions bring you the enjoyment of unique vehicles and world-renowned racing circuits. During the summer season 2018 you can look forward to new event formats like the one-day AMG PRO PLUS-Training or the particularly intense multi-day AMG RACING CAMP. The road is not enough. Not for you and not for a Mercedes-AMG. The full potential of our vehicles is only unlocked on the racetrack. And you can experience this at an AMG RACETRACK-Training event.

The modular concept takes you through the learning process step by step: from your initial “fa milia ri -sa tion” with the AMG EXPERIENCE through the “fundamentals” in the AMG PERFORMANCE-Train-ing courses to the increasingly advanced proficiency levels of AMG ADVANCED-, AMG PRO-, and AMG PRO PLUS-Training respectively. The whole process culminates in the AMG MASTERS with the thoroughbred Mercedes-AMG GT3 racing machine and the new Mercedes-AMG GT4. Another special highlight? AMG ADVANCED-Training

Onwards and upwards. Is your passion for the racetrack gearing up and seeking a new challenge? Time for AMG ADVANCED-Training. This two-day program focuses specifically on broadening your driving skills. To this end, the instructors first assess your capabilities and then set up homogeneous groups in which you carry out tailor-made training exercises. Spurred on by the team spirit and supported by professional analysis technology, you increase your pace lap by lap.

Various optional packages allow you to configure your AMG ADVANCED-Training according to your individual wishes. All the events take place at legendary European racetracks – from the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium through the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Spain and the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal to the (in)famous Nordschleife in Germany.

AMG PRO-Training

Take it to the max! The AMG PRO-Training fosters your talent while pushing you to up your performance, like a real racing driver. At the Circuit Ricardo Tormo near Valencia or the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve near Portimão you complete a challenging two-day program specially designed for you by motorsport-experienced instructors. In the provided Mercedes-AMG vehicles you learn various driving techniques from motor racing and put these to the test on the track.

The available optional packages add even more drive to your AMG PRO-Training: from solo driving through your own rental vehicle to complete private coaching with detailed data recording and video analysis. You then have an opportunity to demonstrate the skills that you have perfected in unaccompanied driving around the racetrack.

AMG PRO PLUS-Training

Faster, freer! The new AMG PRO PLUS-Training, which is being introduced this season, meets the same high standards as AMG PRO-Training, but is more compact and features a higher proportion of unaccompanied driving. An exclusive Driver’s Dinner the evening before the training provides the prelude to the intensive, one-day racetrack program.

On the actual day of the training, you complete numerous challenging units at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo near Valencia in which you learn how to master racing challenges – such as starting off or overtaking. At the end of the AMG PRO PLUS-Training you also have the possibility of acquiring an official racing licence (DMSB National A-Level License)1.

AMG MASTERS

Made for the racetrack – the Mercedes-AMG GT3. The worldwide successes of this uncompromising racing machine have been causing a furore in GT sport since 2016. The AMG MASTERS offer you a unique chance to experience this champion from the driver’s perspective. And that’s not all: This season sees the addition of the Mercedes-AMG GT4 to our racing fleet. This new racing car is based on the Mercedes-AMG GT R, featuring a near-series concept that is designed to meet the requirements of the international GT4 racing series.

Like our Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing teams, you first of all receive professional instruction on the two vehicles’ technical refinements. During the practical driving training you devote your full attention to the cars’ performance qualities: handling, acceleration, braking, gear-shifting, and corner speeds. Data recording and video analysis are employed here, just like during a real race weekend. You are also supported by a well-trained team that includes both experienced mechanics and personal mentoring by a professional instructor with vast motorsport experience.

AMG RACING CAMP

Take your passion for racing to the top! The new AMG RACING CAMP is a unique concentrate – a sort of “Best of Racetrack” from the AMG Driving Academy. The 3.5-day intensive training course provides you with a complete grounding in professional motorsport. It is dominated by time out on the racetrack: After half a day taken up with motorsport theory, vehicle engineering, and a licence check, you devote your full attention to practical implementation – from effective starting exercises to expert overtaking maneuvers. You start off on the track with the Mercedes-AMG GT R followed by the Mercedes-AMG GT4, and as a highlight you race a Mercedes-AMG GT3 around the Valencia circuit. In between the sessions, data recording and video analysis as well as several theoretical workshops keep tabs on your progress. In this way, you raise your performance from day to day while experiencing the fascinating team spirit of the World’s Fastest Family.

Option packages

It’s lonely at the top! With the “Solo driving” option, you will enjoy complete individuality and benefit from maximum time at the wheel. Instead of sharing the cockpit with another participant, you will have the vehicle all to yourself. Depending on the driving-dynamic training, different models from the available vehicle range can be used.

Make your dream come true! As part of an AMG PRO-Training session on the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve near Portimão, you can prove yourself as a true racing driver and complete the official driving training course to qualify for a DMSB National A-Level License. This license entitles you to take part in approp-riately advertised circuit races.4 It’s your entry into the world of motorsports!

As good as your own! When you choose the “Rental vehicle” option, you will be provided with a Mercedes-AMG to be driven by you and you alone. It’s an ideal opportunity to get to know your desired model. Of course, this way you can tackle all the training sessions as a single occupant with maximum driving time. For your rental vehicle, you can choose from different models depending on availability (see price list).

Take it personally! By choosing the “Private coaching” option, you’ll be mentored by your very own instructor as part of the regular schedule of events. One on one. Supported by professional data recording and video analysis, your instructor will concentrate specifically on your individual driving skills. Together on the track you will complete special exercises (e.g., “Lead & Follow” with you behind your instructor on the Racing Line, or “Shadow driving” with your instructor in the pursuit vehicle) and thus make especially effective progress in your training.

Our history

It was with the conviction they could win that Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher laid the foundations of AMG in 1967. Together, they optimized engine

power and dedicated themselves to customer sport. They were soon competing against strong, established racing teams and, in 1971, won their class at the legendary

24-hour race of Spa with the AMG 300 SEL 6.8. This made the letters A, M, and G famous around the world. A – the visionary Aufrecht, who constantly drove the company forward;

M – the technical genius Melcher, who found solutions for even the most complex challenges; and G – Großaspach, the birthplace of Hans Werner Aufrecht. The courage and determination of

its founders to take on the impossible and to work hard at it still shape the spirit of AMG to this day.

Take-back of end-of-life vehicles. At the end of its long life, you can return your passenger car to us for environment-friendly disposal in accordance with the European Union (EU) End-Of-Life Vehicle Directive. But that day is a long way off.

A network of vehicle take-back depots and dismantlers has been established to make it as easy as possible for you to return your vehicle. You can leave it at any of these points free of charge. In so doing, you will be making a valuable contribution towards completing the recycling loop and preserving resources.
