Birthday Party Benefits Animal Rescue League Gwen Valvano of Amherst surprised recent guests attending her 5th birth- day party. In lieu of toys, she asked that all gifts be items from the wish list of the Animal Rescue League. At only 5 years of age, she collected a whole truck load of dog food, cat food, kitty litter, and animal toys. She is so thankful for her generous friends and classmates from the Preschool in the Village who helped her make such a huge gift to the animals in support of the Rescue League’s important mission. Her family is so proud of their little girl’s not so little spirit of generosity. Gwen’s family adopted their well loved dog, Jedi, from the Animal Rescue League and Gwen wanted to help other animals waiting for their new families.
