Amicus was responsible for the planning, conceptual de-sign, and proposed financing of a Newman Village to ac-commodate the expansion of the Newman Center at NAU. In coordination with the Newman Center and the Universi-ty a survey was created and sent to 15,000 students; this survey was one of their earliest examples of a collabora-tion between a public university and its Newman Center toward focused student housing. The survey data present-ed to the Newman Center identified an estimated need for over 500 beds. Amicus then coordinated with architects to incorporate food service, administrative space, 150 parking spaces, as well as 500 seat chapel as part of the Village.

Amicus provided strategic real estate advisory services and conceptual planning. This included meeting with the Newman Center and prospective buildings for repurposed student housing, presenting conceptual information, and running preliminary financial projections. An estimated need of 200 - 300 student beds was projected, however, zoning would not allow for student housing within the new Catholic Center plans. It was Amicus that helped the Catholic Center find suitable facilities with the capacity needed to meet the expanding Catholic student popula-tion. Completion Date: Ongoing Budget: n/a
