Ammie Kim Interior Design found its first inspiration many years ago in a suburb of Los Angeles. It was in 1979, when 13 years old Ammie Kim, a recent immigrant from Seoul, Korea, happened to watch an interior design show on TV. She found herself fascinated and immersed in the beautiful creations of the designers, whom she could barely understand. Instantly, she knew that she had just found her life-long passion.

After years of studying interior design magazines, watchingAfter years of studying interior design magazines, watching TV shows and space-planning the family home for the hundredth time, she finally enrolled at the University of California, Los Angeles, to study design. After graduating from UCLA, she studied extra three-years at Interior and Environmental Design program at UCLA Extension.

The first concrete step towards solidifying her dream and passion began at the age of 26. Ammie Kim Interior Design was born and was here to stay. Through constant dedication and attention to detail, while always keeping the client’s need and wishes a priority. Ammie Kim’s work began to appear in magazines, TV Shows and all over the Internet. Her list of accomplishments, publications and praise by peers, is a true testament to her unique approach to problem solving and creating spaces that not only please the eye, but the heart.

- Pasadena Showcase 2010 - ”Linen Room” &”Sewing Room” were featured in the Daily News, THE Magazine, Traditional Home Magazine, and San Gabriel Valley Daily News.- 2009 Luxury Mansion in Bel Air- 2008 Serrano Luxury Condominium was published on Newstar Magazine and Korean Times Daily-- 2007 named one of the Great Women of the 21st Century (2nd edition) by American Biographical Institute for her achievements in design and social services.- Beverly Hills Garden and Design Showcase 2005 - "The Dining Room" featuring Tiffany and Company sponsored dinnerware collection.- LA Times featured Ammie's article on "Take My Advice" on October 20th 2005 in their home section.-- “Sex and the City” episodes were shot at "Mr. Coffee," a Los Angeles based coffee shop designed by Ammie Kim.- ABC's "Beautiful Homes & Great Estates." - Design House 2004 "Renaissance Suite" - HGTV (Home & Garden Television) 2003, invited Ammie Kim to re-design a dining room for their nationally televised show, "Designer's Challenge."-- Design House 2002 "Home Theater," designed by Ammie was a success, and was shown on CBS's "Entertainment Tonight," and featured in Daily News.- Baron's International Magazine 2001 Edition of “Who's Who in Interior Design," recognized Ammie Kim Interior Design as an up and coming Design Company. -- In 1998 Ammie designed a custom home, in Hancock Park, which was seen on the hit show, "Beverly Hills 90210."
