A Message about the changes

that will take place during

the next few months.

I feel that it is my duty to send this import'ant message to every man and woman in

America who is looking to the Rosicrucian

Fraternity for practical help and guidance in

these critical times.

I have just returned from a tour of the im

portant capitals of Europe where I have been

in long and important conferences with the

most eminent masters and highly advanced

leaders of our Fra ternity. These men have de-

voted a lifetime to the analysis of the needs of

the human race in all the recent evolutionary

periods of human development, and are more

intimately in touch with the larger issues and

the more important activities than any other

men of Europe.

These great masters have served humanity

in many ways during the past fifty to seventy'

five years and they have available to them the

archives and records o f our organisat ion cover'

ing many centuries, and they have also the

confidence and assistance of eminent men and

women in every walk of life, in every country

nd nation of the world.

It has been their business to study the hu-

man problems and to foresee the various crises

nd changes that take place from time to time

n all human affairs and guide the members of

ur organization and their families in the

roper manner of meeting the problems of life

nd overcoming the obstacles to success andappiness .

What these great masters and eminentuthorities have explained to me and made per-

ectly plain t o my un derstanding will certainly

nterest each one of you, and, as I have said

bove, I think it is my duty to make this mes-

age available to as many of our friends as isossible.

Great Changes are Coming

One of the first important facts impressed

pon my mind was that the world today is

assing through an evolutionary change that is

ar more inclusive in its effects upon every hu-

man being than the people of the Western

World can possibly realize.

These eminent authorities laid before me

rge charts and diagrams sh owing t he years in

hich many important changes had taken

ace in the past centuries. As I looked at

hese great charts and studied them it was just

s though I wa s looking at th e planjj drawn by

the Supreme Architect outlining what He in-

tended to have fulfilled in this wonderful

world. These chart s and diagrams did not

represent any such ambiguous and speculative

schemes as might be based upon astrology or

any system of fort un e telling. Th ey were based

upon the natural and wellestablished cycles of

periodic changes taking place throughout the

world in human evolution and in all human

affairs. Some of these diagrams began with t he

building of the Great Pyramid in Egypt andillustrated how that Pyramid with its mathe-

matical measurements and symbolism, indi-

cated many of the world’s great changes, and

most of the world’s great scientific accomplish-

ments. Th e great wars of the past centuries,

from the Roman period up to the recent great

World War, were plainly indicated on these

great diagrams. An d th e wars of the fut ure

and all of the problems that will face mankind

in various parts of the world were plainly

marked out so that there was no doubt about

what the human race can expect from time to

time.

America Holds the Key

It was early in the first week of Augu st t hat

I left America and immediately upon my arri-

val in Europe three masters pointed out to me

h ow and when the great changes would begin

to take place in certain cities and countries,

great World War in 1914, are part of a great

Cosmic plan, or great Divine plan, or great

universal plan, to take the power away from

one group of individuals and transfer it to an

other group. In other words, the present

evolutionary change taking place in the world

is part of a continuous evolutionary program

to advance civilization and to create new

minds, new blood, an d new power among those

who deserve it the most.

You have heard scientists speak of t he t heoryof “th e survival of th e fittest.” It is a natura l

law thr oughout t he universe that th ose animals,

those species of plant life, and those other

things existing in the universe which are the

strongest, the best, or the most qualified, will

continue to exist after all other things have

been gradually eliminated. Th e time has now

come when the great transfer of power and of

human rule is to be accomplished and the

authority and power to rule man and to own

and control his abilities is to be taken away

from those wh o have used it wrongly and given

to th ose wh o have been su ffering and wh o have

been downtrodden and enslaved.

In other words, the present evolutionarystage is going to reverse all of the existing

conditions which h ave enslaved men a nd worn'

en and ma de them serfs and laborers under th e

rule and power of misused money and aristoc-

ra cy. Kings and queens are to become subjects,

and out of the mass of subjects will arise new

rulers, new leaders, and new directors. Money

is not to become the great power it has been,

but is to become a servant and a useful instru-

ment in the h ands of t he mass of people.

A New Power For All

The p ower that money has exerted over the

mass of people, and the power that the so

called moneyed and aristocracy have mani-

fested in the control of human life and human

effort, is to be changed and a new power is to

be given to man. This n ew power will be the

pow er of mind.

The new leaders, the new rulers, the new

successful men and women in life are going to

be those who are free thinkers, free doers, and

able to use their own mind power in place of

being subjected to the rule of money and poli-

tical influence.

This will not be the first time in the history

of civilization that the influence of the selfish

wealthy and the kingly has been broken and

the masses of thinking minds and real workers

have been given the power to rule themselves

and lift themselves to the greatest heights.Money, however, always has the ability to

gradually gather power to itself and to grad-

ually overrule mind power. But every time

that misused wealth and aristocracy reach thd

highest pinnacle of their power, the universal

scheme of things suddenly changes it and

brings the real power back into the hands of

Your Place In The Sun

Un der th e new changes that are taking place

he great power is going to rest in the hands

f those who constitute the average man and

woman in every land. Th e greatest mentalower is not always found in those who have

ollege, university, or academic training or

wh o have the most brilliant intellects. History

roves to us that the man and woman of good

ound common sense training is more capable

nd more successful in the rule of his own

estiny and in the building up of a great em-

ire than those who may be brilliantly edu-

ated in a few subjects and totally ignorant in

general sense.

Under the new plan that is now being

volved throughout the Western World the

man or woman who has a fair comm on school

du cation and who has the ability to thin\ and

eason, and who is broadminded, tolerant andympathetic with the world’s problems, will be

he one to rule and to dominate for the next

ifty years or more.

This gives every average man, woman, and

hild, an opportunity during the next cycle to

ecome highly successful in life and to have

he mastership of his own affairs and to rule

his Government and to make his country a

land of peace and opportunity for all.

There are no socialistic or communistic ideas

in any of this, and the plan has nothing to do

with any pol it ica l sch em e or any manmade

scheme of modern invention. It is a purely

Cosmic, natural, Godmade plan of allowing

the mass of God’s children throughout the

world to have their rightful heritage and to be

free of the bondage under which they have

been enslaved for the past centur y.

This should be joyous news to every man

and woman who at the present time finds him-

self or herself at the very breaking point in all

finan cial and social conditions. It sh ould be

joyou s new s t o the ma n wh o has been la bor in g

to hold fast to his modest possessions and live

a life th at is hap py an d beneficial. It sh ould be

good news to every man and woman having

children who are now about to face a new

cycle of greater opportunities.

Prosperity Will Be Equal

Th e great masters in foreign lands wh o havecarefully studied the signs and indications,

pointed out to me how the present unrest in

the financial markets, in the stock exchange,

the Wall Streets, and the sources throughout

the world, is going to result in the transfer of

financial power from the hands of the present

monarchies of wealth to the hands of new

ood, younger people, and those who have

uffered for the want of actual necessities. The

ailroads will be owned and operated by men

ho have heretofore been enslaved by corpor-

tions and by trusts and syndicates. Th e big

anks, the big real estate movements, the

eamship lines, the farm corporations, the

orld’s producers, the great manufacturing in

ustries, the great natural resources, will all be

a nsferred to the ma nagement and direction of

ew men and women who must and will be rep ared an d qual if ied to take the place of

ose who have been selfishly and criminally

ontrolling these things for their own personal

enefit.

There is to be no sudden revolution, no

lood shed, and no war, and there will be no

legal or unhappy catastrophe except in the

ansfer of power from those who have mis

sed it to the hands and hearts of those who

ill use it properly.

Ther e is to be a new cycle and a wh olly new

ystem of prosperity and happiness for every

hinking man, woman, and child.

You Must Prepare For It

N o one would be happy to see th e power

f control and direction transferred to the

ands of ignorant or incompetent persons.

hat would m ean ruination for every land and

or ev ery nat ion . In the future it must be the

power of mind and not the power of money

that directs and controls our destiny. It willbe the men and women who have passed this

great change who will be the most benefitted

and who will occupy the highest positions.

M in d pow er does not mean great intellectual

power, but it means the use of the mind in

simple ways with proper understanding. This

is where the great work of the Rosicrucian

Frat ernity will once more have its opportu nity,

as it has had in centu ries tha t ha ve passed. In

every great climax of the past, and in every

great evolutionary change that has been made

throughout the world in the past ten or more

centuries, the Rosicrucian Fraternity has been

of the utmost help to men and women who

seek to lift themselves to the higher places inlife and to a greater control of their own

ik dest iny.

It has often been said by historians that the

Rosicrucian Fraternity seems to wield a magic

power of some kind and to share this power

with all its members, because in every great

change in civilisation in recent centuries, the

W e know, however, that there is no magic

out it. It is only the fact that th e Rosicru

ns know certain secret laws, and how to use

mind power possessed by each individual,

"the great er adva ncement of his own best

erests. It is a simple matt er for each man

d woman to develop and use his own mindwer to such an extent that it becomes a su

ior power in the contr ol of his life. On ly

secret instructions and help are necessary.

Wh at You Should Know

In order that you may use the mind power

t resides within you, and use the great

lities which you possess, you should know

at your place in the universe really is, and

at you are best qualified to do and how you

n use certain universal principles to bring

eat chan ges in your life. This will help you

attain the highest position, the highest placemong men. Every man and woma n can learn

se things easily, and develop certain powers

at will make their minds magnetic, influ'

tial, comprehensive, and forceful. You

ould know the power of thought, the power

concentration upon certain desires or wishes

d h ow to tur n them int o realizations. You

should know how you can control certain

events in your life and how you can avoid

certain obstacles and overcome difficulties that

stand in your way. You should realize that

you, alone, and by yourself, are the equal of

any king or queen, and that you possess a

power within you that is greater than the

power of money or greater than the power of

kingship.

All of this knowledge has been held from

the average man and woman in order that theymay be held in bondage by the power of others,

by aristocratic rule and by political influence.

But, these things are going t o change. The

change is ta king place now. Ea ch day, each

hour, is finding the power of money passing

from the hands of those who have misused it

to the hands of those who will properly use it.

There will be more fluctuations in the wage

scale, more fluctuation in the price of com

modities, more fluctuations in employment, but

each hour and day will see an improvement

and the whole change will be like the moving

of the checkers around and around on the

checker board until each one is in a new posi

tion and in a new place ready to start a new

game of life.

It is not difficult for each man and woman

to learn the real secrets of life and the secrets

of personal power and personal mental influ

ence. Th e Rosicrucians have been teachin g

these subjects for centu ries. Th ose who are

w in the organization or working with it, or

ples, know how happy their lives have been

But we must not think only of those who

ve been for years enjoying the benefits of the

osicrucian contact. W e must think of the

ousands and millions who have not had the

nefit of this knowledge and who are now

eking, seeking, seeking, for something th at

s been missing in their lives and which they

pe to find—as you, for instance.

The Good Times Coming

Those who read between the lines and can

e the importance of this message will realizea t n ow is the time to prepare and get ready

r the golden opportunities that are coming.

ew values will be placed upon everything.

fe itself will have a new value. Mon ey will

ve a new value. Food, clothes, and all of the

cessities of life, as well as the luxuries, will

ve a new value. Business soon will be upon

a new basis, owned and controlled by new

minds, with new ideas; and from hour to hour

there will be new opport un ities, new openings,

new possibilities for every think ing man, w om-

an and child.

Those who continue to doubt that good

times are coming and those who hesitate or

wh o sink int o gloom and despondency will find

in a few months that their neighbors and

friends ar e rising above them. N ow is the

opportunity for the man and woman withfaith, with hope, and with determination, to

take part in the great change and become a

member of the great army of progressive per-

sons who will walk rapidly to the very pin-

nacle of success and happiness and lead all

others.

It is not a matter of investment of dollars

and cents; it is not a question of how much

money you have in the bank, and it is not a

question of what your education may be, or

your social standing. It is pu rely a question of

how much w i l lpow e r you have, how much

faith you have, how much determination you

have to change your life, now, while the rest

of the world is changing, and be ready for the

dawn of tomorrow. You can do no better than

to join with others who are making their plans

and prepar ing themselves to be ha ppy and con

tented in the future.

Let the Rosicrucian Fraternity take you

kindly by the hand and lead you gently and

more opportun ities. This is going to be the

olden dawn for millions of thinking men and

women. It is going to be th e greatest oppor -

unity the world has ever seen for the ambi-

ous man and woman in the middle class of

fe to rise to the highest positions and to con-

rol their own fate and their own destiny.

The Rosicrucians have no ulterior motive,

o selfish purpose, in wanting you to have theest th ere is and to be the master of your own

fe. Your success will be th e success of th ou-

ands upon thousands of others. Fifty years

rom now the world’s history will show that

ight now men and women who made the

ight start, and who took advantage of the

resent conditions, were the wisest ones and

the most happy ones in all the world. Her e is

your opportu nit y! Help us to make the Rosi

crucian activities once more the grand and

glorious work that it has been in the past

cycles. Remember , tha t in the hund reds of his-

tories that h ave been written a bout th e Rosicru

cians and in all the ancient references to them,

there has never been a thing written about

them that is not beautiful and glorious. W e

have a marvelous name to uphold. W e have a

wond erful r ecord to continu e. Th e success of our organization depends upon the success of

every individual man and woman who works

with us and becomes happy and contented in

life. W e must not let these persons fail in the

futu re. W e must not fail in our du ty now.

W e must not miss an opportun ity to spread

the knowledge that the Rosicrucians have, and

extend a helping hand to everyone who is now

in a sad or doubtful position.

On ce again I say, this is an individual oppor -

tu nity for all. If you have not enjoyed the

have not accepted the Rosicrucian offer of
