The causal relationships among social skills

and self – determination and quality of life

for preparatory school pupils with learning

Ain shams University Abstract

The study aims to investigate the relationships between

social skills and self – determination and quality of life for

preparatory school pupils with learning disabilities, the

sample of the study consisted of (178) preparatory school

pupils with learning disabilities, the study used social skills

scale and self – determination scale and quality of life scale,

it used path analysis. The study results found that:

1- there are a fit correspondent for the proposed model with

data of pupils with learning disabilities.

2- There are statistically significant positive direct path

coefficient from social skills to self – determination . 3- There are statistically significant positive direct path

coefficient from self – determination to quality of life . 4- there are no differences in the proposed model among

males and female.
