LoTAG Asset Management Board
Formed in October 2008 to oversee bid to DfT

• To be responsible for distributing the funding in support of deserving areas of excellence in the field of transport asset management
• To act as a regional champion and disseminate improvements in highway maintenance through better use of data
• To assist in forming a national network of champions to help disseminate good practice more widely

Use of Funds & Future Activities
• It is part of the £3.5 million planned to be spent on projects over the next 3 years to advance Asset Management for the benefit of London
• The money will not be divided up and an equal proportion allocated to all boroughs
• Bids to be submitted by end of November
• LoTAMB meets on the 8th December to consider bids
• LoTAMB aims to respond to all bids within 3 months of submission
• LoTAMB has scheduled monthly meetings throughout 2010 to progress bids and approved projects

Current Bidding Process
• Set out in David Yeoell note of 19 October
• All authorities that submitted ideas in 2008 have been approached to review content
• New individual bids can also be sbmitted
• Bids to be endorsed by HMSG, LoLEG or LoBEG
• A bid that addresses general asset management to be submitted direct to LoTAMB

• A condition of Element 2 funding is that the authority act as a regional champion
• LoTAMB wish to form a national network to help disseminate good practice more widely
• A key component of this exercise will be the dissemination of the practices authorities have adopted and the opportunity for other authorities to learn from and adopt them
