PleasejoinusforafulldayworkshopdevotedtotheInternetofThings.AtthiseventyouwillbeexposedtotalksthatdescribewhattheInternetofThingsisallabout,whyitisanimportantpartofthefuture,andwhataretheimportantingredientsforsuccessfulproductsandservicesintheIoTspace.ThetalkswillcoverthemanymanifestationsofIoTandhowitisalreadyimpactingalmostallverticalsoftheWorldEconomyandgrowingatarapidpaceinadoptionandinfluence.Thetalks
willcovertheIoTlandscapeandidentifytrends,whotheplayersare,andwhattechnologiesareimportant.ThevisionforIoTistousecommoninfrastructuretoconnectindividualdeviceswitheachother,andwithpeople,inawaywheredigitaldata,andanalysisdrivesdecisionthatcanbeexercisedandinfluencedremotely.Software,Algorithms,andArtificialIntelligencetechniquesplayakeyroleandultimatelydeterminethelevelofquality,safety,andreliabilityofIoTproductsandservices.Thisisparticularlyimportant,asmoreandmorecriticalapplicationsbecomeapartofIoT.
ThelineupofspeakersincludesexpertsandpractitionerswhowilldiscusshowIoTisimportantintheirindustry,whattheyseeastheingredientsforsuccess,thetechnicalandbusinesschallenges,andtheirviewsofhowtheInternetofThingsislikelytoevolve.InkeepingwiththethemeoftheQRS2017conferencethefocuswillbeonissuesofsoftwarequality,safety,security,andreliabilityandhowtheuseofcommonIoTinfrastructure-communications,computing,storage,dataandanalytics,andsystemsforremotecontrolofcriticalfunctionscontributetothevaluefromIoT.
Attheendofthedaytherewillbeamoderatedpaneldiscussions,withaudienceparticipation.Itwillbedevotedtohighlightingthekeytechnical,business,andregulatoryconsiderationsforIoTdeploymentsandidentifyingconcreteactionsthatcouldspeedthedeploymentofIoTofferingsandmeetthechallengesofquality,safety,reliability,security,andscale.
