TYPES OF LASHING

ROUND LASHING

• Round Lashing is used to tie two parallel poles together side by side.

SQUARE LASHING• Square Lashing is used

to tie two poles together at an angle of 90º. E.g. To construct a ladder, table or improvised raft.

• When done properly it will hold together even during the most vigorous of activities.

•The sheer lashing is to bring together three spars to form a tripod

DIAGONAL LASHING

• The diagonal lashing is used to lash two spars together. Unlike the square lashing which works for right angle crossings, the diagonal lashing secures poles crossing each other at a variety of angles.
