Planning and Design

Planning and DesignMajor Considerations:

• Ensuring high design standards for road users.

• Traffic model and traffic forecast.

• Minimise land-take.

• Maintaining existing accesses.

• Minimise affect on existing utilities.

Planning and Design

Project ObjectivesThe Solutions:

• Segregate through traffic from local

• Grade separation at Interchanges

Execution Challenges

1. Right of way limitations for construction

2. Relocating the huge number of existing utilities

3. The live traffic volume occupying the existing roads

4. Coordinating with the various stakeholders

Execution Challenges

Solutions

1. Employing construction techniques that require minimum space

2. Standarized detours to maintain ease of traffic flow and accessibility

3. Avoidance of working in rush and peak hours

4. Effective outreach and communication programs for all stakeholders and parties
