THESSALONIANS

…walking in the light of the Last

Days!

GETTING A HANDLE ON THINGS

(1Th 1:1) Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus

Christ.

Self-sinner-d-ness

“The longer I love, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than

circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church....a

home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot

change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing

we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me

and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes.”

― Charles R. Swindoll

(1Th 1:2-4) We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of

you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in

our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing,

brethren beloved, your election of God.

to God

(1Th 1:2-4) We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention

of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your

work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our

Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

(1Ti 2:1-) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,

intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

(1Ti 2:2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and

peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

(1Ti 2:3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

(Php 1:3) I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

(Php 1:4) Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with

joy,

(1Th 1:2-4) We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in

our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing,

brethren beloved, your election of God.

(1Co 13:13) And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three;

but the greatest of these is charity.

(1Th 5:8) But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and

for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

(Col 1:4-5) Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye

have to all the saints, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven,

whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

A.Their Performance of Faith

(1Th 1:2-4) We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of

you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the

sight of God and our Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

(Heb 11:4) By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice…

(Heb 11:5) By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death…

(Heb 11:7) By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared

an ark …

(Heb 11:8) By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after

receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, …

(Heb 11:17) By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac…

(Jas 2:17-18) Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man

may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy

works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

(Mar 2:4-5) And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said

unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

(1Th 1:2-4) We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of

you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of

God and our Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

(1Pe 1:22) Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the

Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another

with a pure heart fervently:

God and our Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

(1Co 15:58) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the

Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

III.Thankfulness by Signifying their

purpose

(1Th 1:2-4) We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of

you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in

our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing,

brethren beloved, your election of God.

(Act 9:15) But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel

unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of

Israel:

(Rom 9:11-12) (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) It was said unto her, The

elder shall serve the younger.

(2Pe 1:10) Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make

your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never

fall:
